Sounds alot like Frye's first 2 games except for the foul shooting.

Turiaf will be helping the Lakers right away.

Bynum had 12pts 9rebs and 2blks yesterday.

frye had 16pts 3rebs and 14pts 6rebs 1blk

not quite close considering Frye spent 4yrs in college and Bynum is 17yrs old!
TheloniusMonk @ 7/10/2005 1:32 AM
Frye also went 10 for 10 from the line. Bynum at 40% and fouled out. Told us what again? lol

Jason Collins is a good FT shooter too
TheloniusMonk @ 7/10/2005 1:37 AM
Let's also not forget that Phil Jackson didn't believe in this kid. So I guess it's your eye against his lol. Good luck.
gunsnewing @ 7/10/2005 1:37 AM
Briggs where's the link to the Lakers stats? How many blocks did Bynum get?

stop reading false rumors. Phil Jackson just said in an interview that Bynum's size, skills & wingspan is very impressive

Verrrry good question. I said this b4 but Guns avoids this like the plague.

Gunsewing,

you are one of the main people that come in here preaching about the importance of an inside player going to the charity stripe.

okay, so Frye goes and is perfect but then you come back with a "Jason Collins is a good FT shooter too"

but guess what, Channing Frye and Jason Collins were born on different days.

stop playing mind games with yourself, Guns.
it's not cute

Who's going to say that they don't support a player in public? lol It's just known among GMs that this was Mitch's choice not Phil's. Pay attention.
Rich @ 7/10/2005 1:45 AM
Actually, Bynum's stats are a lot like Frye's in Game 2 of the SL:

I never mentioned players going to the line. Shaq isn't a good FT shooter but he does rather fine. I preach the need for a guy who scores inside because if you look at championship contenders they have guys who score inside. Spurs, Lakers, Miami, Houston, Detroit exceptonly Jordan and the Bulls.

Guns, here's something JUST for you:

http://www.nba.com/celtics/news/summerleague_sked.html

It shows that at the tender age of 18 Kwame Brown scored 27 points, 9 rebounds and 3 BLOCKS in 2001's summer league.

Another game he put up similar numbers. So if you're so intent on making these summer league games a vehichle for you to say "I told you so" I'm going to keep asking you "Told us what?" lol.

Just a tid bit of info I though you might want to know because we all know that Kwame turned the league upside down in his 4 years in the league.

Point is, did Kwame end up to be THE NEXT AMARE, O'NEAL, T MAC? I'd say...hmmmm....NO! And this cat put up waaaay better numbers than Bynum in the summer league at a few months older.

no but he could except he's not motivated too. What makes you think Bynum has the same attitude?
