anyone else like this track? I need an iPod so I can bang this in the lab while I run experiments....

experiments?

let me find out you a rocket scientist.

I heard the song. I don't really like it too much. His last album was a classic though. I always liked his music. He just deleted Super Cat off the map basically.

As far as Reggae I have been bumping Damien Marley's Jamrock since it's came out, lol! Damien hasn't had a hit like that ever, lol. Still the vibe of that some is strong and I just like the patriotic feeling it gives off.

Sean Paul is a disgrace to Reggae music, he is pure commercial bump'n'grind dancehall (the worst kind of dancehall). Do yourself a facor and pick up some late 90s/early 2000s Sizzla. Then ask yourself why you ever bought the bubble-gum nasal- monotone Sean Paul garbage.
HARDCOREKNICKSFAN @ 9/15/2005 11:32 PM
Whoa... kam's bringing it live and direct. I like some of Sean Paul's tracks, but I know where kam's coming from regarding those Sizzla classics, I have alot of old & new Sizzla tracks... I'm bumpin' Azanido now.

I'm more into the old-school roots artists, like Sugar Minott, Freddie McGregor, Horace Andy...
More of the conscious roots, Studio-One influenced music.

wow....someone mentions something and you find out a whole lot about people!

I like roots too......I was never up on the names of those artists. I'm a 90's reggae head anyway.....All this simon says stuff is wack. i'm a grown ass man....what I look like signaling a plane or any of the other non-sense that goes on now.

Bounty Killer!!! Yah Yah!!! Lord a mercy!!!
HARDCOREKNICKSFAN @ 9/16/2005 2:12 PM
Yeah man, dancehall's cool, but I'm getting kind of old to be bouncing around that that uptempo stuff so much.

ENY, look those artists up, see if you can buy/download any of their albums. It's mostly smooth "red lights & incense" music, but are some damn good tunes.
HARDCOREKNICKSFAN @ 9/16/2005 5:33 PM
This album is HOT. If you can find/buy/download it, you'll dig it.

Some good-old Brooklyn style dancehall...

Go to easystar.com and you can find concert dates too. www.easystar.com

Sheeeeet!! Those some good artists, but as for even holding a candle to Sizzla Kolonji, perhaps Anthony B can... perhaps... Half pint has some goodies, those are all good dancehally-type choices, i agree Mssr Horowitz, izzit?

Don't forget Barrington Levy.. he's the man who drops hits Broader than Broad. Jacob Miller. Desmond Dekker. Mr. Mikey Dread. And a host of others, some who are most notable for some hit singles... the Kingstonians with 'Sufferer', Willie Wonder's 'Armageddon Time', Tenor Saw with Buju doing 'Ring the Alarm'

How about some old skool reggae by the prince of reggae music one Mr. Dennis Emmanuel Brown? Stop me anytime!!!

HARDCOREKNICKSFAN @ 9/17/2005 6:08 AM
lol kam you're definitely droppin' some names, especially Dee Brown... Some more of my faves.

I thought you'd have mentioned Capleton by now, since you dig Sizzla's tracks. I have a feeling he's on your list too though.

Old school... OK... What about Yellowman ("Zungguzungguguzungguzeng"- a CLASSIC!), Ranking Joe, Nitty Gritty, Gregory Isaacs ("Night Nurse"), Burning Spear ("Dry & Heavy","I and I Survive") ... Keep that list going.

This could go on for days...
kam77 @ 9/20/2005 12:50 AM
Ohhh, nice ... i have to check some of those tunes out. Thanks.
Haven't given capleton or yellowman much time.

Do you like any Bad Brains?
