There's a lot of optimism about Bynum in Lakerland. Assistant coach Kurt Rambis already can see the development in Bynum's body and the improvements in his game since he played his first summer league game in July. Luke Walton was impressed after playing a few pickup games with him in recent weeks.
"I can see why they drafted this guy," Walton said. "His body is ridiculous, his arms. His footwork is already nice. I think he's going to be a force in this league once he gets to learn what the league's about."

Well if we drafted him, we wouldnt have to be offering half our roster +draft picks and 70mm for Curry--if they think so highly of Frye right now, I dont get it--we have just bought james for 40mm and drafted this guy 8
it's not that they don't think highly of Frye, it's just that the thought of Frye and Curry for ten years is enticing.
if the Lakers think so highly of Bynum, why trade for Kwame? same deal.

Kwame is a PF/C. And you know why? Because he hasn't played well enough at EITHER position to earn it for keeps.

Frye is not a terrible pick. He won't b a complete bust. His jumpshot is too good for that. The question is will he be a 20mins per game role player or will he be a starting calibur PF.
This never gets old, right? I can't believe it....
If I knew we were getting curry i would have picked fyre ahead of bynum. Frye can be special at pf and with curry at 22yrs old theres no reason to take a prospect like bynum. At center with no curry then I rather have bynum. Hes worth the risk at that point.
