Saw this on another board-thought you might like to weigh in

Good answer but not sure I'd agree.

Only guy I wouldn't trade for James is Duncan. I might have said Stoudemire as well, but not after his knee surgery.
s3231 @ 10/15/2005 6:03 PM
Yea, I would also say no one. Still pissed we didn't tank that season
Bonn1997 @ 10/15/2005 6:10 PM
I think you mean "who wouldn't you trade Lebron James for?" (the reverse question).
I wouldn't trade him for anyone, although I may regret not answering with "Dwight Howard" in a few years.

Curry.

If I wanted to win now-have to say Duncan. If Amare is healthy would give it a lot of thought. Howard is another long thought.

Nobody. He's going to average a triple double eventually without trying to be a stat stuffer.

That's very possible. His stats so far -

Year/ppg/rpg/apg
2004/20.5/5.5/5.9
2005/27.3/7.4/7.2

He's only 20. He stands a good chance of becoming the best basketball player ever.

If that dude averages a triple double he will join the Big O as the only two who've ever done it. I thought Magic was going to do it back in the day.

Man listen, if Lebron averages a triple double he's going to automatically become one of the all time greats. That is no easy task. Just think, for a dude to have a triple double in a game means he helped the team in 3 different categories. And in each of those categories he dominated. Hell each rebound is a basket in the making (unless the team doesn't capitalize), each assist is worth a hoop and every point scored is money in the bank. Not to mention pretty much doing this in every game. Talk about making people around you better, that's the epitome.

I hope I can see someone do it in my lifetime.

KG
Duncan
Wade

are the only three right now.
Allanfan20 @ 10/17/2005 6:11 PM
Not even them, unless it says "With the package, you will also receive an NBA championship.
EwingsGlass @ 10/18/2005 11:35 PM
I would take LBJ over any other player in the league. There is no comparison. Even if Duncan and KG are currently better, look at the difference in salaries... also look at the age difference. Then, look at the marketing ability. The guy is a cash cow.
