Spree Likes Hawks, Hawks Have No Interest

AJC.com - Latrell Sprewell's agent said his client would love to fill the Hawks' need for more veteran leadership. Sprewell is out of the league, having turned down a three-year, $20 million extension in Minnesota.
"Latrell is very much interested and has indicated a number of times his desire to play for the Hawks," said Sprewell's Atlanta-based agent, Bob Gist. "He likes the fact the owners, GM and, certainly, the coach are committed to amassing a winning team."
GM Billy Knight said he has had conversations with Gist, the last ending with this succinct sentiment. "We're loaded with players at the wing positions," Knight said. "And we really have no interest in Latrell Sprewell joining our team." [READ]

How is he gonna feed his kids now?
LOL. Spree, want to feed your kids? Back your bags and go to Europe. Since $21 MM over 3 years wasn't enough to feed your kids, but $27 MM over 3 would've been, then I suggest playing another 18 years in Europe to make up for the money you're not getting by giving up a GIFT contract.
What a loser.
Spree has been blacklisted.

Swallow your pride! You gotta do what you gotta do!
we could seriously use him i want hm back in NY
On the Planet Spree, He misjudged his value and has been holding out for a contender. Now he is scraping the bottom looking for a two year contract and getting rejected by the Hawks? Ouch!
We really could use him, but that is so not happening.
I agree if we can find a way to get rid of some of the trash isiah has brought in i would love to see him in a knick uniform he is better at the two then what we have.....
crawford, mo, malik must go
Best we could do is make a 2 for 1 trade, including Penny, then bring in Spree to replace Penny. But it's just not going to happen. Spree is a jackass and he deserves to not have a team.
I would take Spree in N.Y. in a heart beat...can he still play:::????
