we should get him
Rich @ 3/8/2006 10:41 PM
Not for Frye, which was what it would have taken.

He's too similar in too many respects to the type of player the Knicks already have.
Caseloads @ 3/8/2006 10:47 PM
if a Knicks player ever gets 17 rebounds in one game...
edsonline @ 3/9/2006 12:12 AM
And foolishly there are people who wouldn't want to get him for just an expiring contract.
Rich @ 3/9/2006 12:17 AM
I'm one of them. I don't think he fits.
Travla @ 3/9/2006 12:43 AM
I wouldn't want to give up Frye but Odom would fit here, he's a veteran that LB will trust. The guy has averaged 15 and 8.5 for his career without EVER being the main go to guy.
Caseloads @ 3/9/2006 8:25 AM
I'd say give MoT + David Lee + Nate Rob for Odom (that's fair on both sides)
franco12 @ 3/9/2006 8:33 AM
Tim Thomas scored 20 points with the suns in limited minutes- lets get him.
bigbeast @ 3/9/2006 8:46 AM
Dont forget, Odom also had 18 pts, and 6 ast to go along with those 17 rbs. For the life of me, I don't understand how people can say he wouldn't fit in. He rbs, he moves the ball, he can play 3-4 positions, has a high BB IQ and Brown loves the guy.

Bring him here!
MS @ 3/9/2006 8:47 AM
I like Frye but he is very slow defensively and very limited offensively I think we overrate him a little; granted his jumper is money but I would be a little skeptical about giving him away too soon, I don't think the rookie package gets it done but I would do that in a heartbeat

So we could use Frye as the backup to curry
Nalod @ 3/9/2006 12:35 PM
We know what Oh-Dumb is.

But we don't yet know Frye's upside.

Life is full of mysteries, but whe we always trade unknown for the overpaid known, we short change ourselves in the long run.
