These college kids are amazing the pressure shots they make is absolutely amazing, from Pitsnoggle to the kid that hit the three from texas to UCLA clutch play, I mean wow, these kids are amazing performing under pressure, and then tonight Rashard anderson hit two big 3's, one to bring them within two and one to tie the game with 1.2 seconds left. Wow that was some shot he hit. That kid is a assasin!!! Great games!!!

UCONN dodged a bullet. They got very very lucky. The refs were on their side tonight.

That kid from Washington is going to regret not taking it to the hoop after he got the steal. It's decisions that like that that stick with you always

RASHAD IS THE F'IN MAN!!!!!!! I LOVE UCONNNNNNN

UConn dodged a bullet is right. Roy was the best player on the court, I take him over Gay. The game was not officiated fairly. Every call went to the more talented team, with less heart.

How can you make a comment that any team in the top 5 has no heart? How can you watch a team come back from 6 down with 50 seconds left and say they have no heart. Isn't that the definition of heart. Let me guess rain, you just don't like Uconn. You can't figure out why, you just do.

As for Rashad, he could be one of the most clutch shooters in NCAA history. I've never seen anything like him in my life. Everytime they need a huge shot he comes out of nowhere, guys draped all over him, fading away, NBA range. It's ridiculous.

Uconn coasts at times. Uconn is disfunctional with no consistent on court leadership. But heart is not their problem.

Easily. They got plenty of help officiating wise and the one player WITH heart did what he does best. No one is questioning their talent but they were not the better a hungrier team last night. Their talented enough to be able to not give a crap and still win. Which is why I've hated Uconn all season.

pssy arse excuse/ go watch the tape of that one again. washington fouls like a machine almost every poccession. they are lucky they werent called for more. uconn GAVE them that game by dumb unforced TOs and missed FT. Uconn had to make HUGE HUGE plays and get defensive stops when they counted just to tie washington. wash had a 6 pt lead with what 15 seconds left and lost. Uconn won the game with timely last miunte play. they certainly need to play smarter to go on, but this is no different then UCLA coming back from 17 and Vill from 16, hitting shots and getting calls in the last second. Its part of a 40 minute game. Tell me how many FT did Wash shoot against Illinois? It happens when you are over-aggresive on the D--this night wash deserved the FT.
CrashDMB237 @ 3/25/2006 8:16 AM
Anytime a team turns the ball over 27 times yet shoots 47 free throws its a little fishy to me...

Officiating down the stretch was terrible. UCONN got every call. Apparently in college you're allowed to go over the back to grab rebounds, because thats all Boone did all night. And I guess every time Marcus Williams gets a love tap he goes to the line. Whatever. I don't care, I don't have a college basketball team. I just hate seeing undeserving teams win.

U conn didn't get every call, washingtons players were over the back all game, they could of called more fouls on them..
McK1 @ 3/25/2006 10:39 AM
Boone needs to stay. Not sold on Armstrong on the next level.
mrbean259 @ 3/25/2006 11:14 AM
armstrongs garbage...ive been saying it all year, he gets these stats from who knows where but if u watch him in games all he does is get 2 or 3 uncontested dunks and screams after every one of them. and a few blocks (mostly bc the guys gotta avoid boone and ends up right in front of armstrong. the guys also a walking turnover.
rain @ 3/25/2006 1:30 PM
briggs= homer. C'mon dude. Multiple people saying it.. seems like a trend.. don't it? Making the opposite argument doesn't make the bad officiating go away.

And to the others. The no heart comment wasn't my comment. They had less heart than UW. UConn has pro talent at Four positions and pro talent on the bench. They should have dominated a small UW front line. They didn't. They were lucky to come away with a win. They were out-played in style and out-played in desire.
Bippity10 @ 3/27/2006 5:09 PM
Shooting foul shots has nothing to do with heart. They played horrible in the tournament. Horrible. Yet each game they were out of it, should have lost and found a way to win or at least come close against GM. Now again, question their ability, call them over rated, say they played poorly, say the refs helped them out. Fine. But to question their heart with all those come backs makes no sense.

Rain: I think both teams played with heart. UW overcame a foul shot deficit and Uconn overcame a horrible performance and a late deficit. Both teams played with heart in my view.
