On ABC now, in the 4th quarter...

You think a team like the Cavs or Lakers with one big star and not much around them would want to take a chance with one of our scoring guards, either Marbury or Francis? The supporting casts of these teams look terrible at times, and while these guys might not have great all-around games, they've never really been questioned in regards to their scoring ability (well maybe this year, but everything was terrible this year).

id give up marbury to cleveland for snow and a resigned gooden.

Any LA deal would be hard and they dont have much I'd want.

Cleveland with Hughes, Marbury, James, and Big Z would be pretty nasty.
bobs3304 @ 5/7/2006 6:34 PM
another thought --- marbury's defense has improved, and hughes is 1 of the best in the passing lanes, and he wouldnt be expect to pull much of the scoring (lol, like he has this postseason anyway).

James and Big Z would be expected to combine for aound 45 points combined.

Marbury would only be needed to throw in around 15 and 8. Hughes around 14, 6, and a couple steals.

That's be a SOLID team.

I like Gooden, but E. Snow? come on, man his contract his too many years and he is useless. And then with Snow, what happens to Frye? We can get a better packae for Marbury, you don't just give him away like that.
tkf @ 5/8/2006 12:54 AM
snow is Garbage, i rather deal with marbs and brown fighting for another year.....
bobs3304 @ 5/8/2006 12:58 AM
snow is good for 15 minutes as a backup. dont play.

and gooden i feel is gonna be a 15 and 10 carlos boozer type next season.
Allanfan20 @ 5/8/2006 1:15 AM
marbury's defense has improved,

Laughable. He has shown signs, but he always does. It has been bad overall. He gets destroyed by quicker PGs, which is just about 90% of the PGs in the league.
bobs3304 @ 5/8/2006 1:35 AM
Umm............ what PG stops quick PG's from penetrating in this league?

Tony Parker kills EVERY PG in the league. Chauncey Billups included.

Gooden's not gonna be resigned. Getting Marbury makes resigning Murray unnessecary. And of course they'll have a ton more players who are expiring, so their rotation tightens up, making it a more ideal playoff team.

And like Piston fans have noticed, Donyell Marshall really hurts them when he gets significant minutes. S&T'ing Boozers allows them to put him in the starting lineup. Verajon(SP?) is a perfect backup.

Hell, we could expand this trade to give them a backup Center in Jackie Butler, which also gives Frye more minutes for us.

Marbury & resigned Jackie Butler

for

Gooden & Snow & Ira Newble & Pick
djsunyc @ 5/8/2006 7:55 AM
would you rather get gooden or give the spot to frye? is he that much of an upgrade to keep frye on the bench or should we start giving frye a real shot there?

I saw Clevelenad this year and watched Snow a lot.

Its hard to say about him, or anyone on Cleveland cuz its all about Lebron and him only.

Id take him for Marbury.

A dump is a dump is a dump.
