This guy is too much. He finds the perfect team for himself in the Suns, and yet shuns them for a couple of million more a year from the Clips. I know it wouldn't be easy to turn down millions, but Steve Nash was his meal ticket. He said he would be a fool to want to leave such a good thing with the Suns on the verge of a championship. I guess it really is all about the Benjamins.

I think this means VLad man isn't resigning with the sonics because he still thinks he is a 10 million dollar a year player.


To be fair.......... he got double the money in to stay in LA, you make it sound like suns went 15million and clippers went 19 million. 12 to 24 is a big reason.

He got 77 million for his last contract. How much do you need?

Anyway I think that it is very clear what motivates Tim Thomas and its not winning.

12mm is a LOT of money. 12mm can last 25 lifetimes its a no-brainer TT cashed in on his playoff performance

not to mention that he was a reasonably solid value asset we gave up in that curry trade im sure many teams value TT higher than curry right now

Enyspree, I think Maggette isn't going to be traded. TT or Maggette or even Mobley for that matter, could start. Or they could be sixth men. Plus Maggette is always hurt. They have versatility now a lot like Phoenix and Dallas. Guys can play SF or two guard. They improved themselves a lot by adding TT. Now they just need to resign Cassell.

The Clippers will be sorry.

Don't be so sure about that. In fact that is more than debateable. What TT does can be replaced more easily, Curry cannot be replaced so easy. And it is not like TT is a player without huge question marks. This signing was a gamble they may live to regret. We'll see.

I thought the suns were sucvh great teammates and everybody's wife knows each other and gets along so well and blah, blah, blah.

The Suns basically rented him for a half season as a stop gap until (or if) Amare comes back.

tim thomas has the planets aligned in his favor. after spending all that time in chicago on the bench Tim walks right into a system just to show the rest of the bball world he's still in demand.

the guy just doubled his cha ching factor without even trying. clippers aint going to be no joke next year
