How much do you want to spend?

That will answer your question.
Solace @ 8/21/2006 11:39 PM
Now I remember, I think it was Fuji Finepix. Great cameras for the value. Software is excellent, very easy to use. Camera is very good. Better than friends cameras of equal MPs, and they paid more than I did.

Mine is a few years old, though, so they may have updated things even more. Check amazon reviews. That's how I usually do things.
Allanfan20 @ 8/21/2006 11:44 PM
I have a Kodak 5.0 mega pixel camera and it's easy to use and so is the software. Kodak EasyShare. I don't remember the price though. Got it like a year and a half ago.

You can click on them just fine because they are stored on your hard-drive as temporary files. I would say you should try re-uploading the pictures again onto webshots. See if that works. Also the file names of the pictures look kind of peculiar. Are you sure you downloaded them off the memory card properly?

Hmmmm. Well lets do this, I'll make a checklist, you tell me if you didn't do any of the following and we'll go from there. We'll figure it out Briggs.

1. download the photos off the memory card onto the hard drive
2. upload the photos from hard drive to webshots
3. give correct link of the pictures from webshots

Did you not do any of those steps? It LOOKS to me like you uploaded them to webshots but your having trouble with linking to the actual pictures. If thats the problem you could link straight to the photo album instead of the pictures individually. You tell me where your at though.

Guys,

I own a powershot s400 and I love it. It is truly compact (Slips right in your pocket), and it shoots beautiful pictures.

I am planning on buying my mother one in the very same line.

However, I have noticed that you are recommending the SD400 etc. I want to give Briggs a heads up: The "SD" stands for "Secure Digital", which is the format it records pictures to, essentially the film. There is a competing format: "Compact Flash". This is the same as VHS vs. Beta. I am not an expert at how things are shaking out, but near as I can tell, Compact Flash is VHS in this battle. Unless there have been recent price drops, CF memory is much cheaper, is being developed for all kinds of uses (Hence, you can use your CF card in a Palm device, a Camera, an MP3 player, etc.).

Funny thing is, I seem unable to find a new Powershot that uses CF rather than SD. Since I like the camera line so much, I might break down and get an SD model, but the main reason I have not purchased a new Powershot yet is because I have not seen a CF model advertised.

oohah
