Im not talking about Pac Im talking about you saying that there are millions of people who are not into that rap.
I like some of the songs and the messages of Talib, Mos Def but you have to admit that they aint exactly hot. If they were, more people would buy their stuff. Don't you think.

Guess what? That early 90s hip hop aint hot no more.
Thats your rightful opinion but there are a lot of people bumbing 90's rap more than now and there are a lot of people bumbing "Hstlers Muzik" than 90's rap. But who are you to say 90s Hip Hop aint hot no more?
KRS One just dropped a new CD. You might not know this cause no one is getting at tired asz KRS One and his plightless "teachings."
no actual I knew this cause I have it. Tough piece with Marley Marl. I can say that it was better than some of the stuff I hear today. 2 Legends together on one album like how Nas and AZ should have been or Nas and Premo.
bigpimpin@ 6/24/2007 2:16 PM
The only thing you dudes have to go by is -- the old skool, the good ol' days and all that other sheeeeet.
What is Nas, Jay and whomever doing in the '07 to re-claim the true roots of their history?
Jay had a hand in f'ing the game up when he started that "jigga bling materialistic" crap. Oh, you don't remember?

Yeah, I like some of the cuts but it aint hot. No one cares about KRS-One anymore. Thats what you cannot get thru your head. Its a new day.
Feel free to join us.

no they are exactly hot, the reason that they dont sell is because coperate poison rappers and people minds with this "pop lock and drop it" and that other stuff.
bigpimpin@ 6/24/2007 2:20 PM
Oh, they poison 'em?
Narrow-minded guy, well, it might have something to do with money too.
Ya think?
Kool G Rap, Rakim, Chuck D, Kool Moe Dee, Red Alert, Marley, KRS One are broke. You can't pay your rent with tight lyric skills. Tell Rakim to make it rain
If he can.
ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

The whole album was tough. Once again where is your statisical evidence that "no one" care about KRS-One anymore, if you aint got #'s it is a spec. That is what Krs-one concerts sell out because millions of people still listen to him, Souls of mischief is about to go on tour and I bet that will sell more than "no one" cares.

if you aint got stats you aint got sh*t. Do you realize that these dudes that you name makes a lot of money from retarts that you listen too sampling them and getting clearnce and still get money off of their joinst on the radio, also annual pay etc etc. Why do you think guys like Run from Run-DMC lives in a huge Mansion in Saddle River, NJ? These guys get paid. And for the fact you actually think that some of your favorite rappers are getting money like you see but wrong you are because more than half of that stuff is rental and they get ripped of by corp. Why is that guys like Jimmie I is getting more bread than the rappers huh. Think guy most rappers are not rich they hardly make over a mil a year unless you are touring. Take they rosecolor galsses of guy.

Pimpin I got a thread that you wouldn't want to see of what people think about Wayne but knowing you wont check it....
and P Diddy's artificial asz. It tells you something when Puffy became a mega-star in NY. It tells you everything NY is about.
Look hos out of water he appears standing next to a real hustler -- Young Jeezy
CDB@ 6/24/2007 2:33 PM
You know what pimpin you cant get it through your thick ass skull so there is no sense in arguing with you, you go by your opinions and I will go by my statistitcal facts.
bigpimpin@ 6/24/2007 2:36 PM
New York rap is dead.
Tell Nas to get at me
bigpimpin@ 6/24/2007 2:37 PM
50 cent is a stat king. And?
Lil Wayne will sheeet on 50.
CDB@ 6/24/2007 2:39 PM
It's done Pimpim, it's a fact that you contradict yourself, have no knowledge of Hip Hop, Dismiss Statistical facts, and run away from the truth so it's done move on with your life.
bigpimpin@ 6/24/2007 3:10 PM

Jay used a hook from a nas song. That's about it. Their styles are totally different. I don't get how anybody can say jay copied the dude.
As far as flippin lines that other people have said, jay-z always does that. Listen to all his albums. You can find references in a lot of songs. "all I got for hoes is hard dick and bubble gum" was big L. Was jay influenced by big L too? Does jay get any credit for his work?
Nas is not the god of rap. Just like 2PAC isn't. A lot of people like these 2 guys and then say everyone copies them.
Nas, jay, big L, the whole Wutang clan, Kane, g-rap, Krs-1,and rakim especially are some of the best that ever did it. Did busta bite off of redmans style? did common bite De la soul?
Its a debate but its speculation. Rappers have been known to flip lines others have used. Back in the day that shit was hot to used a line from another dude as a hook. DJ premier made a living cutting up peoples lines to fit another song.
Nowadays its just cool to be the same. Even a dude like Ortiz. He sounds like everyone else out right now. Dipset is pathetic. Ortiz sounds like those cats. So does all the rest of the up and coming rappers. Turn on public access in nyc and you see guys getting hype sounding like what's hot now.
Hip-hop is not dead by the way. You can't be influenced by what is being pumped to the children of the enslaved. If you don't like it, ignore it and support the music you like. Rappers I like still put out new stuff. There is still a lot to explore with rap. Money is ruining it. Everyone sounds the same. Not even a little different, but exactly.
Music in general is in a state of limbo in my opinion. All the new bands coming out sound the same. Everyone is riding a hit song to the next album hoping to get another one. Its a revolving door. When was the last time someone made a classic album in any genre?
