Steve Somers interviews an "angry" Tom Coughlin

Steve Somers second interview with an "angry" Tom Coughlin

jazz74 @ 1/28/2008 11:28 AM
well, the jints arrive in az today. they seemed focused last week despite their numerous appearances but this is when the zoo starts. will they be able to handle the circus media and distractions? dealing with ny media makes them prepared somewhat but this is altogether different. i hope jacobs and pierce do not say anything stupid to provide bulletin board material because ne thrives on that.
VDesai @ 1/28/2008 11:37 AM
I don't think its an issue. The Giants have no fewer than 7 beatwriters covering them on a daily basis, Page Six to worry about and in general, the biggest media circus in all the land. Their might be stupid stuff said, but I don't think anyone will let it get to them...
TMS @ 1/28/2008 11:30 PM
there's a flu bug going around w/the G-Men i hear... i hope these guys get rid of it by Sunday.
VDesai @ 1/30/2008 2:51 PM
Just have a feeling that Strahan is gonna have a massive game. He wants to retire, but he really wants that ring. I think he can see the end here and he's gonna really let it all hang out there on Sunday. I see a multi-sack game coming from him...

I love this song!!!

Ok, here's my completely useless post of the night.

I had this song stuck in my head while ESPN had something on about the Pats/Eagles Super Bowl a few years back.
And I started singing it...and I got to wondering...

Are the Patriots the "men of stealing signals" or is Parker saying to show signals to the "men of stealing"?

I need sleep.

Osi's been pretty non-existent this entire postseason for that matter... i'm hoping he breaks out w/a vengeance on Sunday.

Eli's gonna throw for 300+ w/2 TD's... Jacobs & Bradshaw w/1 a piece.

He hasn't recorded any sacks but he got really good pressure on Garcia in the first game and Romo in the 2nd game. He's actually been the least consistent of the 3 DE's despite having the most sacks. They mostly came in that Eagle game. I was saying earlier in the year, Tuck has probably been the most disruptive lineman on the team and Strahan the most steady (monstrous vs. the run).

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jazz74 @ 2/3/2008 9:12 AM
yeah, it all comes down to this. i never expected us to make it to the super bowl but here we are. this is a tough challenge and hopefully they can pull it off. regardless, i am still proud of my team. they did far better than what any of us expected. now they must bring a championship back to a city that has been deprived since 2001. this decade hasn't been kind to new york fans in any sport. in that case, time is on our side as well as the patriots time has come to lose in the super bowl. GO G-MEN!!!! make this a reality!!
TMS @ 2/3/2008 1:51 PM
i'm almost more excited to send those Boston Chowderheads back home crying as i am to celebrate a NY title.

Almost meaning...like you'd rather see the Giants win about 500 times more, right?
TMS @ 2/3/2008 2:19 PM
lol... yeah but 500 times more than infinity is a relative statement.

again i seem like a pessimist but i can't see the giants winning more than last year. as a matter of fact i think they might win less with a 7-9 record. yeah, tiki may be a diva but he was 40% of our offense the past three years. i am not sold on manning yet and it will be a difficult year because he will be asked to be the main man of this offense which is not a pleasant thought. our secondary is still suspect as well as unhealthy though i do like the potential of ross. brandon jacobs showed signs last year but he is not tiki and will struggle as well as droughns. in our division alone, we are not better than any team except maybe the redskins but they can suprise us. however, there is a silver lining. it is almost assured that it will be coughlin's last year if they screwed up. i am not down on coughlin like others but i know when it is time to go and for him it is time to go. we will have a high draft pick to help build around manning. i think manning will blossom under another coach with a new staff. so this year is really a transistion period or rebuilding year but the next two years are key especially with dallas and philly aging. we need to replace strahan though. maybe tuck is our answer. it will be an interesting year to say the least.

can't believe i said this 5 months ago. this is unbelievable. i knew we were going to win the super bowl within the next two to three years. i didn't expect them to win it now. what a game. one of the best super bowl games this decade.

I guess the giants had spies out making sure Belecheat didn't do just that cheat!

congrats on the gint's winning a chip, in the time of parity in the NFL who goes 18,19-0 ?

Some former patriot claim the pats videotaped the final walk through when the patriots played the St Louis Rams in the superbowl= what an advantage the pats won that game 20-17

I can't believe reporters haven't pointed this out with a passion and question Belecheat's whole tenure as a head coach in New England, REMEMBER, HE SUCKED WHILE COACHING IN CLEVELAND AND GOT FIRED!
VDesai @ 2/7/2008 12:26 PM
Coach Spags is STAYING with the Giants! Step 1 towards the repeat: check!
