Diehl is saying he can start this week. Smith seems to be almost set to go (although will be somewhat limited). Nicks should be practicing today and I think might be able to play as well.

Watch out for Jason Pierre-Paul. 11 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 pass defensed in his past 2 games. Monster in the making.
The man is an athletic freak. Vikings next. I don't like the Vikings, Giants never play well against them. Get the W anyway they can got to keep pace and at the least lock down WC.
We get the wildcard if we win this game???
If the following happens the Giants will almost definitely get a playoff spt:
Beat Minnesota next wekk
Beat Washington in the last week
Beat one of either GB or Philly. Beating one would give us a tiebreaker or leg up- and therefore will get us a wild card or division title.
Giants need to follow that formula. If they drop 2 games its a 50-50 proposition.
I'm actually really excited about where the Giants are right now. They seem to have really gelled as a team and are beginning to get healthy again at the right time. If we can get a few players healthy for the home stretch, I see us finishing the year strong. I'm curious about whether or not Farve will take the field this week. If he does, look for our defense to officially end his season!!
like what i saw out of Devin Thomas on special teams last week... seems like he was a nice waiver pickup for us... might even turn into a decent slot WR option w/a little work.
Giants Vikes just got moved to Monday night.

thanks for the update... any news on channel & time? giants.com doesn't seem to have any other info other than the game getting postponed to Monday Night.

Why?

Why?
they're stuck in KC at the airport due to inclement weather
woah, just heard on ESPN the roof on the Metrodome has collapsed due to the snow... doesn't look like this game will be played anytime soon... stay tuned.
A little birdie told me that the game will be played in Detroit. If thats true, is it still manana?

heard on CBSsports.com that the game will be played on Monday at 7:30 at Ford Field in Detroit... but snow is in the forecast for tonight in Motown too, so who knows if the teams will be able to get in.
Really good of the Lions to open up that stadium to allow this one to be played. Total shit show situation, but hopefully it will all work out. The Lions could do us another favor and beat the Packers today (rodgers had to leave with a concussion). And then if Dallas beat Philly, we would have an opportunity to open up a 1 game lead on both teams getting ready to face them in the next 2 weeks.
Lions did the job! Packers lose... too bad the Redskins couldn't help us by beating the Bucs... typical.

Skins couldn't hit a simple XP or chip shot field goal. Anyway, hopefully Dallas can beat the Eagles tonight. The Eagles are banged up and Dallas has been playing well.

just as long as DeSean Jackson doesn't get injured... i need him for my fantasy playoffs next week!

dude, i got $$$ on the line!
I don't understand why they did not just play this at University of Minnesota stadium.

Supposedly b/c it's supposed to be -11 degrees and the field is in poor condition.
I heard on Mike and Mike that admission will be free to go to this game? Lucky Detroit F**kers. I've never been to a pro football game, let alone a Giants game and would kill to see one.

yeah, it would have taken too long to clear the field at the U of MIN stadium so they went with Ford Field instead... tickets are free to anyone who wants to go... i wonder how many Giants fans live in the area.
A-fan, if there's anything that's worth spending the money on, it's going to a football game live... nothing else like it... from the tailgating experience to the trash talk with the other teams' fans all the way to the intensity inside the stadium during the game... well worth the $200 or so you'll be spending for the experience (ticket, beer, food, parking, tolls, etc.)
