#@&! YOU MATT DODGE YOU USELESS SCRUB!!! WORST LOSS EVER!!!
SupremeCommander @ 12/19/2010 4:29 PM
what the fuck just happened
TMS @ 12/19/2010 4:30 PM
how the hell do you not punt the ball out of bounds there??? HOW???
SupremeCommander @ 12/19/2010 4:32 PM
the whole second half was bush league. (1) Manningham's fumble, (2) the onside kick, (3) Dodge's punt

Three epic mistakes. In one half. Unbelievable

TMS @ 12/19/2010 4:41 PM
Manningham's fumble was another completely inexplicable boneheaded moment, i agree... i dunno WTF it is about the Eagles that they always seem to make us look like complete idiots in every big game we play against them.
OasisBU @ 12/19/2010 5:02 PM
Just left the game, what an awful loss. The Giants totally blew this one, they had it and threw it away.
TMS @ 12/19/2010 5:10 PM
our special teams coach should be fired immediately... not only for the Dodge punt & the horrible coverage on that & the onside kick, but also for their pisspoor special teams play all year long... i've never seen such a horrible display from our special teams so often since i've been a fan of this team... we consistently get burned on big returns... it's a joke.
VDesai @ 12/19/2010 6:45 PM
There's not words for what happened. It was the worst regular season loss in Giants history. Here's what you take away- for 52 minutes it not only looked like we could beat the Eagles, it looked like we could wipe the Eagles. It also felt like we could win a Super Bowl. What you take away is that you're not a bad team- you still can beat anyone on any given day. And the other thing you take away is you got embarassed and now your pride is on the line in these last 2 weeks and you have to play like you have something to prove. Season is far from over and they still can put this thing together.
Vmart @ 12/19/2010 7:00 PM
Dude I felt a loss coming even when they were up. I just knew that Philly has the Giants number and the fact that they stopped playing in the second half was basically all she wrote. I have watched the Eagles over the past few weeks and in all games they find themselves down and they find a way to win. I don't blame the Giants to much they just don't match up with the Eagles. This is the 6th loss in a row now to them. Dodge sucks. Spercial teams was aweful all I could think as soon as the Eagles were down, there is going to be one gimmick sure enough the on side kick happens. All I have to say is get to the playoffs and I'll take my chance at another Eagles rematch then.

a few things i wanna see happen off the football field this week:

- G-men rally around this heartbreaking loss & come out next week pissed off & ready to dominate
- cut Matt Dodge & offer Jeff Feagles a full year's salary if he'll come out of retirement for the last game & the playoffs (if we make it that far)
- fire special teams coach Tom Quinn yesterday
- if the Giants don't make it to & win at least 1 playoff game, fire Tom Coughlin & hire Bill Cowher

heard yesterday that the gmen are cower's 1st choice....if the giants dont get to the playoffs, you may very well get your wish. inexplicable what happened yesterday and that mainly falls on the coach. that's too big of a lead to blow that late in the game without consequences.

TMS @ 12/20/2010 1:17 PM
everytime we build up a big lead, this team simply stops playing... everytime this team wins a string of games, they begin to read their own press clippings & let their overconfidence be their undoing... it's been that way for the longest... i dunno what needs to be done, but it needs to be fixed immediately... dunno if Bill Cowher is the answer or not, but lately Tom Coughlin doesn't seem like he's getting through to these guys... there's only so much taking the same guy yelling at you for you to eventually shut him out completely... maybe the time has come for a coaching change.
eViL @ 12/20/2010 1:43 PM
ever since Plax shot himself on November 30th, 2008, the Giants have not beat the eagles. making matters worse, they've managed to lose many of those games by shooting themselves in the foot. d'oh!
TMS @ 12/20/2010 11:18 PM
Eli called a player's only meeting for the first time in his career to rally the troops... good to see him actively taking on the reins of leadership & not just being all ho-hum after a loss like he's been known to be in the past... hopefully his teammates respond next week... GB's gonna be a tough opponent & this is gonna be for the last wildcard spot in the NFC for the 2 teams... if we win, we're in according to ESPN... should be another frozen bowl at Lambeau Field.
VDesai @ 12/21/2010 3:39 PM
I think we match up great with Green Bay. They don't run the ball well at all, so we can be agressive at getting after Rodgers, who would be playing post 2 concussions. Obviously we have to watch for Jennings' speed, but I think we can do a good job.

One thing I want to see is O'Hara on the bench. He came back to the lineup last week and Eli was seeing pressure up the middle all day. He saw more pressure than he saw in about 6 weeks- which was exactly the time O'Hara wasn't playing. With Seubert and Booth inside we also were able to run at will. 200 yards the prev. 2 weeks.

TMS @ 12/21/2010 4:26 PM
i'm not normally one to wish injury on any opposing player, but it wouldn't hurt for Tuck or JPP to ring Rodgers' bell a little bit & knock him out of the game by halftime.

even though Flynn played great last week vs. the Pats, he showed his inexperience leading that 2 minute drill... the Giants' pass rush would be licking their chops to get to that kid.

I agree, which is why I am scared as hell of this game

I think about it this way- if the Giants can't bounce back and win this game, then they aren't capable of winning a Super Bowl from a mental standpoint. I think we're gonna bounce back in a big way. This team is too good. When you think about it we were immensely well prepared for the Eagle game- we wiped them for 3 1/2 quarters because our game plan and execution was sound. Of course that all went away, but maybe we can take what happened and regain our mental focus.

We were in the exact same spot in 2007. Had to win that game in Buffalo to get in. We had a tough first half but came up with the big effort when needed. Rided that confidence into a very good performance in Week 17 and the rest was history. This game is a bit tougher, but the cold weather will once again equalize things, and we are in a position to bounce back again.

No more excuses! Win & we're into the playoffs... LET'S DO THIS!
