Nah man. I am a mellow guy for the most part. If I were to get a dog I would get a bigger one. I fell in love with this pit/rot mix. He was a big bear. He was at that central park thing for adoption they do every year in the summer. I spent about 30 minutes with the dog just laying on the floor with his handler. I wanted to try to adopt him, cuz nobody wanted him. His handler says he's too big and most people want the little dogs. Shame that I didn't have the space for him then.

Anyway.....lesson? Find out about breed personality and get into conversations with people that are out walking their dogs. They are massive geeks about that type of thing so most people will yack it up.

Thanks. He's a nice dog, but he's real high maintenence and he's not THAT obediant. I think he's from another planet (Apparently a lot of Boxer owners say similar things) but he's also a lot of fun and isn't aggresive, although it may seem like it. Also, when he his energy is energy is at a lower level, he's about as affectionate as you can ask for a dog to be. He never bites (I only got bitten once, and that was the only time he bit anyone). He naws and jumps and nibbles at your feet. Basically, he's got A LOT of energy and seriously needs to be walked for like 3 or 4 hours a day, with other dogs, which is what I feel real bad about, because he deserves it.

I refuse to call any dog a bad dog, because they are what they are and they live up to what they are and they make the most of what they have. Same thing with any other animal. It's just that, sometimes people tend to get dogs and don't know how to work with them or expect too much out of dogs.

Yup, don't get a dog just because they are cool looking or they look cute you feel sorry for them, or whatever, or you "Hear" good stories about them and not have a clue about what it takes to take care of a dog. Read stuff on the internet, read a book. Heck, I watch some clips on youtube and some people have real insightful comments. But that's a last resort for info. Simply fun.

This is the issue I have with my sister. She comes home and is pissed cuz the dog is running around in his piss and shit. I'm like its a dog. The dog spends a lot of time alone in his space. Its a busy body so any paper or "wee wee pads" you put in there with him will get sent to hell. My sis goes bonkers about it. I always tell her, "what do you expect?" If dogs could clean up after themselves then man kind would be in serious trouble.

Gotta read. Gotta except this living being into the family. That's what it comes down to.

what's wrong with a cheeto pet?
Bippity10 @ 2/19/2008 11:17 AM
I got a tiny little peace of crap dog. Cost my wife about $900 to buy. Costs me about 7 million to take care of him each month. And what do I get in return? I get yelled at every time He bites me and I retaliate by "nuzzling" him with my boot.

Get a big dog or a cat. Trust me

OK. So now I don't want to give this pug back. Any suggestions?

(before anyone takes me seriously, I am gonna give the dog back)

Another question: are "housetrained" dogs going to forget and shit all over the place? have a carpet and if a dog messes up and does something like that, it will get kicked out the window by my parents.
Allanfan20 @ 2/20/2008 11:29 PM
There shouldn't be a point where it can forget. You HAVE to be consistent with the dog and teach him his boundaries and stick with them for his life.

figured i'd post this here instead:

Imagine the big fat white rat in this clip is Dolan... the snake can be whoever the hell you want it to be.

My housemate brought home rat from the pet store to feed his pet snake the other day. This is the first time I've ever seen a snake kill & eat a live rat in person. The camera jumps when the attack happens cuz it struck so fast it scared the crap outta me. Sorry for the low lighting in the 1st clip. He said the bugger doesn't like to strike if it's too bright in the room.

* if you're offended by video clips of snakes being fed live rats, then don't watch the clip... pretty obvious deductive reasoning at work here

Finishing up his meal. Look how fat that bugger got. That is some crazy shitake.
