Do you believe she can take over the office of the Presidency?

Do you think she understands the politics in Africa, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, etc. etc. etc.? I bet you she does not. She does not have the credentials to be a Vice President in my view.

Do you guys know about the population of the town she was a Mayor? The number of the population doesn't even address the small district in Chicago!

Yes she did put fiscal responsibility back but at what cost to the community? She tried to keep a state run dairy open and could not keep it open even after giving state funds.

No bidders by the way, still. You think that was a good decision?

Does she truly understand economics even for a dairy farm? NO!

She has created a monopoly for the gas transport, is that the American way? NO!

There is no way you can compare Alaska and any other state in the union!
The only reason they have no state income tax is due to the petrolium industry. Does evey state in the union have this? NO!

I'm sorry, but she is NOT ready in my view.

This pick is almost too good to be true. McCain is foolish if he believes that he will recruit disgruntle female voters from Hillary's camp

Bitty and Pharezone, I think you are incorrect. People do not choose their candidate based on issues. They do it for stupid reasons and they are easily fooled. They make choices based on buzz-phrases like "flip flopper", "elitist", or "change".

I think McCain choosing a woman gives a lot of people an out to "Make History" with their choice while still maintaining a president many people feel "comfortable" with.

oohah

She is more qualified than Obama. And Obama is running for POTUS!

I don't know anything about her, but like some say it clearly reeks of a pick strictly to try to steal Hillary votes. I don't get it.

There are NO specific official qualifications for President. It's uninformed when people make comments like yours or the previous one. You really just mean that your opinion is that her six years as a Mayor and 2 as a governor will prepare her more than Senator Obama's twelve years as a state and United States Senator. (And obviously if you're like most humans, your arguments would be the reverse if Palin had a D and Obama had an R next to their names.)

Assuming of course that Bush and chaney really do leave office, and Macain and ms Sara win, and then McCain dies of old age in term, then Sara is the mean old leader of the internment camps and martial law.

Im freaking quaking in my boots!

The Flying Phuchking nun is gonna carry on the Illuminati paranoia agenda of martial law and looting the wealth!

Sounds like a movie, but Goldie Hawn is the VP, Leslie Neisson the president, and OBama is played by Richard Pryor!!!!!!!!!!!!

Playa got it all figured out!

Its funny, we all want this nice change thing, a fresh persective but if its a Republican VP chick she is no good with no experience.

This women may be the best one of them all!!!!!!!

I look forward to seeing her speach next week, and what she got.

BTW, hockey moms are pretty darn tough! Them rinks are cold!
TemujinKnick @ 8/29/2008 4:11 PM
The "Barracuda" nickname came from her aggressive basketball play on the state championship basketball team.

That's all I needed to hear. Screw the election. Obama vs. Palin on a basketball court, one on one. Winner take all.

Damn, she looks like one of those porn cougars getting ready for a scene. Obama and Biden must counterattack the MILF vote.
BRIGGS @ 8/29/2008 4:31 PM
You know what--if Hillary actually got on the tiket we could've had an all out lesbian tryst between the two VPs on pay per view @ 1k a pop and taken care of the national debt.

She seems to be an awfully big gamble for McCain. I don't know if this is just to pacify his base or try to win over Hillary supporters. Either way I think she is too much of unknown. This reminds of when Republicans chose to run Alan Keyes against Obama for his senate seat. The only qualification he had was that he was a blck man and Republican. He wasn't even from Chicago.

ROFL but a true story.

After the election she would be vice president......so picking this lady just to get Hilary's votes is retarded.

Its a slap in the face to women. If I was a woman I would totally be down to protest her debates, etc.....he should have got Condie Rice and hit 2 birds with one stone.....

Rice is too moderate for the Far Right. I thinhk it says alot about McCain's judgement.
1) Picking a VP nominee that is far less experience than your opponent who you claim is not yet ready to be Commander in Chief at the advance age of 72 and having serious medical issues in the past.
2) Allowing your think tank to make your decision for you. It is now reported that McCain actually wanted to take Liberman but was warned that he would lose the Far Right.
3) Another hot rumor is that McCain made the choice yesterday as a way to deflect Obama's speech.
4) He met her only once before.

As an independent I voted for McCain in the GOP primary election back in 2000. He was indeed a maverick but somewhere after that defeat in SC he lost himself.
