in brooklyn they are shooting in the air!!!!
sebstar @ 11/4/2008 11:36 PM
After the announcement, I saw jubilation, whites, blacks, hispanics, women, men, young old...this is the America I have always envisioned! We are as close to fulfilling the spirit of America as we have ever been.

If Bush had not run roughshod over this country, we might not have been able to reach such a pinnacle. I guess that will be his lasting legacy.

Just thinking about my mother, who grew up in the segregated south of North Carolina, broke me down something serious. I have never cried like this.

I'm really at a loss right now. I'm drinking my ass off tonight. Straight Hennessey!

This is so much better than talking about Marbury...really, it makes a 1-2 basketball team not seem like that big of an issue...hell, Obama has me back in love with the Knicks...damn, this guy is good...

we have to bfe gracious toward mccain . . . . but we cana think snarky thoughts!!

McCain shouldnt have sold out. The campaign he ran, especially in the last two months, was a disservice to his image, legacy, and integrity. He is a good man, who sacrificed a lot, but there is no way in hell this country was going to put somebody like Palin in the White House after 8 years of this shyt.

That's an awesome post dude. Absolutely awesome.
Pharzeone @ 11/4/2008 11:42 PM
I agree Sebstar, as a former McCain supporter from 2000, that was the most disappointing thing about the last 4 years. That man went through a major change. I don't think you can understate it.
GKFv2 @ 11/4/2008 11:42 PM
Robert Kennedy said 40 years ago that he expected to see a black man as president. That was in the midst of racism in America. Robert F Kennedy was right.
EnySpree @ 11/4/2008 11:43 PM
yes, I'm so happy......i cant explain it....its incredible.

You know, I'm 29 years old.....This is the key moment of my generation. this is so incredible.....all I can think of is my grand mother....my family plot down in virgina. this is so crazy.....

on top of this....Yeah Barack is black....but the dude is simply incredible. Wow dudes, just wow.

what hologram? am i missing something? u mean the bar on the bottom of the screen where they're showing the election totals?
Cookdcokehop @ 11/4/2008 11:44 PM
A tear just rolled down my cheek. This is better than the Knicks wiining a championship. I never though I'd live to see the day. History was made. Change is in our future.

No...they had an interview with a dude from Chicago...but they had his hologram in the studio...hell, how do I explain this...it was like Star Trek or something...crazy...

GKFv2 @ 11/4/2008 11:46 PM
I am very, very happy for Obama and America. But is anyone afraid for his safety? You know there are some crazy racists out there still. I hope no racist is mad and crazy enough to try and assassinate Obama. Obama - black, white, yellow, red, whatever - is the future of this nation.
