Nothing is over till it's over. It's too early to call the election for anyone. This thing will go deep into the night.
Pharzeone @ 11/4/2008 9:19 PM
While it is likely to go to McCain, the fact Arizona is still close to call is incredible as well.

I don't think it will go that deep once Florida is at a 70% count because those votes will becoming from Miami Dale county. The fact that Orange and Seminole county are going Obama way is a bad sign for McCain.
K22 @ 11/4/2008 9:23 PM
CNN says 174-69 Barack.
Andrew @ 11/4/2008 9:25 PM
CNN close to major projection....Florida?
s3231 @ 11/4/2008 9:26 PM
Looks like Obama got Ohio, thats huge.

McCain needed all of the battleground states to really have a shot at winning this thing.

Great news.
firefly @ 11/4/2008 9:27 PM
Ohio projected to Obama. This race is over.

Congrats on your new president guys.

I basically need to see Barack have 270 electorals to call victory. I am cautiously optimistic. I don't want to jinx anything. But yes, Florida would be HUGE.
EnySpree @ 11/4/2008 9:28 PM
msnbc says 195-76 obama.....are they in a different reality or something?
Pharzeone @ 11/4/2008 9:28 PM
Ohio is McCain backbreaker. He has to now pick up states that were heavily going for Obama.
EnySpree @ 11/4/2008 9:33 PM
we getting better participation here than in the game threads!!!
Andrew @ 11/4/2008 9:34 PM
cnn just called ohio
Redcru @ 11/4/2008 9:34 PM
Folks I understand the nervousness....but let's be real....even Red would spark up a cigar at this point (does this reference show my age????)

The race is over....Obama is the new president of the US...now the questions are if he gets over 300 electoal votes and if the senate gets to 60...

Again...Bravo voters...

ah, as I type....OHIO has gone to Obama....good night and God bless!!!!
K22 @ 11/4/2008 9:35 PM

Relax your ass.

McCain has to do well in Miami (near impossible since it has the largest black and latino population in the state). It looks like Florida will go his way before 10pm. McCain then has to win California.
Redcru @ 11/4/2008 9:37 PM
"Better participation than the game threads" ...funny and true...I can actually watch the election...can't see the games...

Andrew @ 11/4/2008 9:39 PM
New Mexico to Obama according to msnbc. 200....Cali and Florida are the only ones needed.
Redcru @ 11/4/2008 9:41 PM
