It seems like another "The end is coming" movie. Not that it isn't, but there is choice in it all imo. Are we being walked down a path to it?
We reap what we sow right? And OR do we create our own reality...
Hard to judge from that clip. Is the movie going to be 90 minutes of reminiscing about what we had? i doubt it. Would like to see another clip.
Interesting that it opened on the day of the election???
What did you think LongIslandKnicksfan?

Actually it's not a new idea... Apocalypse... The end of the world.
The old meaning of this word is "the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind".
We all want to be this "privileged person" who know the "Word of God". But in fact non of us is.
Every persone facing death which is ultimately "The end of the world".
The idea that all humans will die is not making this less or more dramatic.

I thought the election was a joke quite honestly. None of McCain nor Obama's issues will help the American people and it will only work towards big business and private interests.
The link is the film, which is a short film, about 7 minutes and it's something we've worked on since early 2008 and released it on the 4th because it felt like the right time. More on it at www.ScottGoldbergMovies.com

How so? Because I don't feel the same way everyone else does? So therefore I'm wrong and everyone else is right?
I'd rather be different and have my own mind to think rather than having media pick my thoughts for me, which they have done this whole "Election". There was candidates who would have been GREAT for this country, ie: Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich but they refused to promote the private interests so therefore they had no chance. Until PEOPLE change themselves, there will not be any change within government.
Man like that was so cool that like you released it on election day! So like its like 7 minutes long, but really 5 minutes if you like include the intro and ending music.
So like "Released" means what man? Did it play in like cool cofee house out in huntington? or just online?
Man, I saw your "trailer" about the flick on how like your all original and then snap into a "Palin" like response of like how your into Romero and the Zombie stuff, so that was like really cool.
So What did I think of the movie, well it was like really short man, I mean the scenes of like the Dudes sitting around and the one dude with the cool modern hair was kinda of not real looking. Looks like it was shot in prospect park or on long island somewhere.
Its good that your chasing your dream man. But since you asked, the movie really did not move me. Seems like your burning peoples money and time so you'll get a job on a real movie.
And your election view is not original either.

The film is playing online right now only. Thanks for the feedback.
Define a "real movie" by the way.

Apocolypse, which also we hear as "Revelations" give us a better clue as to it's meaning. The truth is to be shown, known or "revealed" to the masses. Now, that might come through destruction, but is reality, "God", etc. really what we think it is? The word apocalypse has been so bastardized by the media to get us all frightened when it might me more of a "waking up" to truth and not necessarily involve destruction, though from looking out the window the future does seem going in that direction. I don't think that death in itself is "the end of the world", perhaps in a sense, but this time we are in is "The apocalypse", something special about now, as death is always occurring. Perhaps through a Mass Death we shall see the wrongness in our ways. Then, that movie starts to make sense, but just grazing the surface. It's getting interesting...
So, how is there a longer version and how long?

Exactly.
The film is 7 minutes which was the film you saw. We are currently shooting another film which is about government control and mind-control and various important issues about society.

The real funny thing is an Obama election has actually given millions hope where none existed. So basically you world wide release on election day im sure you thought was some kind of real statement but if anything you lack depth of any understanding.
"loss of hope"? Is that your parents dream you'll be moving out of the basement soon?

Loss of Hope was written back in December of 2007 way before the whole Election and was shot in early to mid 2008, so I don't understand why you have to act like such a prick to someone who is trying to make a change through their art. Big words for such a small man.
Make a change thru their art? Art is subjective. Your an artist. You produce art, work very hard at it, burn other peoples money, ask for an opinion, and feel hurt whey its negative. Then you get all uppitty about the election like you have an original thought which has nothing to do with the movie.
You thought releasing the movie on election day was teh right time? We watched millions celebrate "hope" not just in this country, but around the world. There are no guarantees that Obama will succeed, but for the first time we saw millions of youth vote and perhaps that was the biggest factor in the election. And there is a huge demographic voice that spoke up loud and clear.
Then you claim because your think paul and the dude with the hot wife, little head and big ears would be a better choice, and since they did not win, YOU think there is no hope. Your entitled to your opinion, but you choose to make that your position at this time and place when promoting your film.
So in the end, "Loss of hope" on this election day really missed. You wanted to make a political statement while the world cheered, you were quite off.
And what message of "loss of hope" as an art form make for a change? The world is full of pessimistic messages of people who cleary point out what sucks but lacks visons to enspire change. Sure art can inspire thoughts of despair to point out what is wrong, but you just claimed "trying to make a change thru their art". Ok, but you choose election day as your statment, so you blew it. Seems like you made a move, then tried to make a message on the wrong day.
Stick to Zombie movies. Zombies are brain dead vessels who act according to preconcieved learned behavior and act instinctively in a redundant pattern. After reading your posts and viewing your art, I can see a distinct correlation. Maybe that can be the basis of your next flick, that the maker of zombie flicks actually morphs into the actual art form he so admires. Slowly he bloats, slowly he loses his abilty to reason, an slowly he just acts instinctively until the real horror emerges!!!!! THAT THE ZOMBIE MOVIE MASTER IS A ZOMBIE HIMSELF!!!
Isn't "irony" the big hook with most zombie flicks?
I love this quote by the recent Nobel prize winner.

Published: November 7, 2008
Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, is a date that will live in fame (the opposite of infamy) forever. If the election of our first African-American president didn't stir you, if it didn't leave you teary-eyed and proud of your country, there's something wrong with you.
Man, what I do not understand is how none of you understand the possibility that this was all planned out from the start to have Obama as President to give people "hope" and to back America so when another terrorist attack happens, we'll all want to be SAFE and give up our liberties. That is what Obama stands for: Nanny Government where people are stupid enough to want to give up their freedoms for safety. Same thing happened with 9/11. Everyone wanted to rally behind Bush and "kill" the terrorists. Whatever happened to Osama Bin Ladin? They wanted to murder him in 2002. How come a year after the attack, Bush said he could care less about where he was ? Something isn't right with this picture. Something isn't right with society and something isn't wrong with what we think is important.
So Martin, you're telling me that if I don't agree with the Nobel prize winner, that I'm not American? Isn't that a tactic to make people not think for themselves? I'd rather think for myself rather than be just like everyone else and be all happy and excited that someone who I feel will dig a bigger wedge into our Constitution due to their Policies, which aren't that different from Bush's.
Plus, I look at President's as actors. They're puppets. The people who pull the strings are in charge of the show and they are there to as part of illusion. The government has been hijacked by greedy, incompetent people who only care about themselves.
"Presidents aren't elected, contrary to public opinion, they are privately chosen at Bilderberg meetings years before any elections ever take place. the U.S. election for president is rigged ¯ controlled by the powers of the newsmedia, a corrupt Supreme Court, and the dirty illegal activities by politicians. The presidential election is a joke, a sham, and we can be rest assured that justice will NOT prevail. The American people have lost control of The White House, the senate, the military, the Supreme Court, and most members of congress. Believe it or not, Barack Obama is related to both President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney - Dick and Obama are eight cousins" (as pertaining to article). Show me exactly where I suggested even an iota of an idea that if you didn't agree with the Nobel prize winner that you aren't American.
If that's what you took out of my post than you are more paranoid, more narrow minded and more thoughtless than I had anticipated.
Independent thinking for the sake of being different is not productive if your message is not:
1. original
2. provoke futher thought
Might say the same thing about "Art".
Plus, I look at President's as actors. They're puppets. The people who pull the strings are in charge of the show and they are there to as part of illusion.
Why not make a movie about a Zombie president?

Everyone has an opinion. You on the other hand seem to have an issue with someone who made a film and put it out there for the world to see. I'd like to see you make a film, put it online and then maybe someone will bash you for no particular reason to tell you how much your film "sucks" and be an ass about it. How about that? Or do you not have any guts to do that and must you be like a critic hiding behind a computer screen who needs to always criticize something that you can't do yourself even if you tried to.
