Off Topic · Filing for Unemployment (page 1)

I cant get through to these dam people. Anyway I was laid off last week and I want to file for unemployment because who knows how long it will take me to find another job. My question is I live in NJ but I worked in NY. Now do I file in NJ or NY?

That's the easiest way. Just file online. BTW, you file in the state that collects your unemployment benefits which would be NY.
