Off Topic · Latest evidence about UFOs - full U.S. disclosure getting closer (page 1)

More people coming forward, including the wife of Mickey Rooney. I believe one of the more reliable sources of information makes it's way through CNN's Larry King Live. There's one fascinating theory here that some think it's our future come back to stop us from doing certain things here on earth.

It fascinates me and it's no wonder that we haven't blown the world up with the thousands of nuclear bombs everyone has these days. In all of my travels in the subject, it really is astounding that we are in fact all still here. This is common knowledge in other countries now. Why not us?

I also believe that the world has changed so much, that people have matured enough that 'if we can elect a new kind of President, then I think we are equally ready to accept full disclosure'. It would not bother me if I suddenly started seeing things in the skies, because I am so used to the knowledge I have retained.

THe problem is if there is a humanoid like species then the orginan of all religion is out the window and caos will reign.

IF one believes god is man made to explain the unexplainable, and then we discover our true origins then thousands of years of religion become moot.

We might be distant cousins of such a race, or perhaps even created from them. We may discover there are many species out there (they know this and tell us) and maybe one of them was our creator.

Maybe this is the true answer to peace on earth. Many wars and crimes against humanity have been in the name of ones "god" and perhaps its time to level the playing field and tell everyone they are wrong!

Or, everyone gets their back up and freaks out.

Mickey Rooneys wife? Is she credible cuz she is Mrs. Rooney? Mickey was awsome on "The Love Boat"!

Rooney's wife is the daughter of a ranking military, that she spoke for. I wouldn't put all my peanuts in one basket over it, but thought it was interesting that another person has come forward. And it's not to suggest that just because she came forward, this is going to be the do all of full disclosure, no sir.

It is the amount of people, both well known and of lay-it-on-the-line reputations folks who have come forward also that I find most interesting. Most people don't even know who has come forward with the amount of information that has been coming out for decades.

There's a story that Jackie Gleason's wife talked about after his death. Jackie came home one day shaken. Gleason was good friends with Nixon, then President of U.S. He said he went to visit Nixon and Rich asked him if he wanted to see something, so Jackie accepted. He told his wife that he showed him a dead alien and that he was never' to talk to anyone about it. And he never did. But his wife finally did.

I see these stories all the time. The majority of people who tell these stories have their reputations to lose. Usually, military people and government people tell these stories 'after' they retire, because if they had said anything when they were in the military or in office, they would have been voted right out. We all saw what happened to Dennis Kucinich, when he mentioned the UFO hovering over someone's house, while debating in the 2008 campaign. Everyone laughed at him! Why would he say something like that, knowing he'd be throwing whatever chance he had to win nomination? Crazy' isn't it?

The former Governor of Arizona denied the Phoenix Lights, all the way until he retired and then he came forward with full disclosure himself as a private person.

Yeah, the religious implications would be a problem, but for decades nobody thought they'd see a black man in the white house either, so anything is possible and I think it's pretty apparent that the public is capable of accepting almost anything nowadays. And throughout my travels, I think I can safely say that a good portion of people have steered away from the Christian faith for one, because of what has been happening with all these child molestation charges. They don't know what to think of it anymore.

And I use Barack Obama's nomination as a fact of acceptance (and maybe it's not the right example, but)..... You'd be surprised just how much people have grown and matured to outside possibilities. Obama himself does believe in his faith, but I also think he understands that, that' alone will not solve things or come to reasonable understandings. It's just an observation to what I am saying here.

You'll rarely, rarely see anything on the fronts of our newspapers about these events and there are very good, and not so good reasons for it. There are the big questions of power and money that is blocking this information from going out to the public. That is the exact reason as to why it is such a secret.

And I would also like to add, you got to be careful to who you listen to and what you see, because there are also a lot of hoaxes and liars out there and I think 'people who have generally driven themselves mad over it'. I myself have had to step away from it sometimes, to get back to life. It wouldn't be a very healthy life if UFOs is all I did.

Child molestation charges was Catlholic Priest accurance. Certainly there are many sects of christianity that are very devout! There are a few other religions I suppose.

In YOUR travels? Whom are you any way? Where do you travel?

I live in a fairly progressive southern city and there are churches and temples on every corner. Greek orthodox, Korean, Catholic, Baptist, Pentecoastal, protastent, Calvary, united, Jewish, Islam, etc etc!

This country, and the world over is very deep in its belief. Many countries don't seporate "church and state" and are run as such.

Saying "its not a problem" is a major oversight. Maybe in the circles you travel in with people under a certain age, but the real world differes.

Maybe a poor attempt on my part to explain something about religion in these states. And you are correct about 'catholic'. Didn't mean to include everyone in that scenario, but let's keep in mind, that shit happens across the board. Enough already.

Yes' in my travels. I live in a very, very busy place and I come across all walks, and have been doing it across several decades. I'm not sure what you mean about 'a certain age' but I have seen them all. And I also get out a lot and I can tell the difference in different areas of this country, from coast to coast. But I won't give too much personal information, so I can only answer you question to a point.

If you believe deeply in your faith and live by it, then by all means, all the more power to you. But what I'm really talking about here is 'how much further people have come and how much more accepting they are also'. So I wouldn't under estimate people (myself) if we did in fact one day witness something that could be so life changing. That includes you progressive southern city folk to.

49, I basically agree with you that if its all there to be told, lets move forward and do the truth already.

Im trying to see the comedy of Jackie Gleason and Nixon fawning over a dead Alien body! That is precious.

I think people in this country are very religious. In the big cities I think it does not show it self as it does. Northern cities are more ethnically diverse as its kept in neighborhoods. I hear what your saying but you might want to really consider that the truth could do. THe movie "Contact" with Jodie Foster was a great topic about science over religion.

Good topic.

Question is "WHY?" does the government keep the subject hidden from the public if there are facts? Besides fear of aliens, or fear of an attack, why supress it?
4949 @ 11/29/2008 7:35 PM
'Contact' was made about what? 15 years ago? Someone like Obama probably would not of been voted into office then. People have grown. After all, the last two elections barely got Bush into the White House, so other countries were right to say that American's were stupid for voting him in not only once, but twice. Maybe that's another poor example, but it's what comes to mind in making my point about people being more accepting today.

And why does the Gov't. keep the subject in the dark? The main excuse out there in UFO land is that 'there is a great deal of power they stand to lose, if the public suddenly realized that they were virtually powerless, because of higher technologies that may exist'.

That information mainly comes from military people and well known Ufologist in the field.

I also forgot to mention, I have known at least a dozen people in my' life that told me that they seen things that they could not understand. And the only reason it came up is because I either mentioned something about the subject or they knew I was into the phenomena. It makes me wonder how many other people I knew that may have seen things themselves.

I work with one guy who told me that his father told him about strange flying objects that would show up around a military base, where his father was stationed during the Vietnam war. He was pretty serious about what he told me, so there was no reason for me not' to believe him.

So it's not just something I see in the media, it's also people I have come across who have told me of these experiences. Whatever all of this is, it apparently is real. And it has my interest. I believe I am beyond freaking out if I ever do come across something legit. I accept it. And I have my own theories about what some of this may mean, including religion, no matter what kind. But that's for another time.
