Overreactions up in this piece.
Where are all my NRA, right wing, give-me-mah-gun-or-give-me-death, cats? Now all of a sudden everybody's getting all squeamish over guns --- that was Palin's whole selling point. That she likes to shoot moose in the ass and feed it to her rugrats.
Point being the only thing I'm concerned about is if he can fully recover from his injuries, which hopefully he will. So he brought a burner to the club and bucked himself. It happens. I've stubbed my toe before. He's prone to the mental lapses, but he's not Pacman and homeboy is the truth on the field. Not giving up that kind of production even if he walked into the living room of my parents house and slapped the taste out my mama's mouth.

It's time for Plax to go.
who is the likely start in his absence?
if Plax is healthy we don't have a better WR... u'd be crazy not to want that guy playing for you... the team does fine when he's not playing, so any distraction he may cause is balanced out by the leadership & depth we have on this team... D Hix is pretty good but he's nowhere near the WR Plax is... i hope he gets his sh_t together cuz i still like the guy... plus i just spent $120 on a #17 jersey this season after he signed his extension.
What is this guy? Another Marbury? Jesus! I couldn't believe it when I saw this story. I mean your supposed to be happier when you win it all, right?
there is 1 huge difference between Plax & Marbs... Plax has a SB ring on his finger that he played a huge role in getting... he's played on winning franchises almost his entire career... he's nowhere near on Marbury's level guys.

I don't know for sure, but I know it's Hixon... has to be

Giants and players and coaches love Plax and if they can find a way to get him straightened out they will do whatever it takes. Personally I hope they do. He's got his head up his ass but he's a good player and Giants need him.
Yup.

that's true
I am over Plaxico. I wish they would release him. BUT they can't do that if he shot himself? That's too cold.
He got shot and will be charged for a felony. He got shot while commiting a crime.
Its cold, but he got a contract. You get shot in the act of commiting a felony your contract is toast.
If he can recover fully then the giants MIGHT have a choice to keep him. But I would think they got an out.
.
Mayor Bloomberg said this morning, that they are going to show no remorse and do what the city can, to make an example out of Plaxico. This is looking pretty bad for Plax.
i wonder if Pierce will be charged w/obstruction of justice for hiding the gun?
Pierce said he does not expect to be arrested, on Mike'd Up, just an hour ago. Who knows though. There seems that there can be a whole number of charges thrown out.
Plax can get up to three years in prison if convicted. FANTASTIC! That's all we need. I repeat, is this another Marbury? What a stupid mistake.
i would expect him to get heavy fines, community service & probation for 3 years or something to that effect... i doubt he gets any jail time over this, & if he does it will be minimal... just my gut feeling... not an expert on how the judicial system works tho.
i think he should be more concerned about the penalty the NFL will place on him over this incident & about all the money he's due to lose on that contract he just signed if the Giants void it, which they probably will.

Turning himself in will help his cause. He needs help obviously. He should not be a factor in the news anymore and a distraction for the Giants, who obviously can win without him. It's just such a stupid thing to do. I don't know why these guys do this shit. They know they shouldn't be doing it and they go and do it anyway. What a total waste! LOL
I find it very funny that the NYPD made Plaxico do the perp walk in the middle of midtown. Handcuffed and put in the back of a squad car. Awesome.
I have no problem with Plax on the gun thing other than the fact that he accidentally discharged it.
NYC sucks in so many ways and this is one of the biggest ways it does. The 2nd Amendment is not myth, it is quite real. Gun control has did nothing to curb violence in NYC. In fact when asked about that then Mayor Gulliani said that only police should carry guns. When a reporter pointed out that during his presidental bid, Mr. Gulliani was forced to admit that gun control does not curb violence.
I myself own a hand gun and will not surrender it willingly. As Charles Heston would say "From my cold dead hands."

I never held a gun in my life and probably never will. In places like chicago, guns and crime is almost four times worse then NYC. Your actually safer in NY.
And that's directly connected to Gulliani increasing the police force. So more police do' in fact keep crime down. We have about 43,000 on the force. In chicago, they have only 13,000.
So it kind of makes sense. We have nearly four times the force they do, and only about 1/4 the crime they do. The numbers are all opposites in their city. Amazing, isn't it? And Gulliani was smart to do it that way, because our tourist industry is much more important then places like chicago. Tourism helps raise money in NY. Millions of dollars every year.
Okay, I'll shut up now.
