Briggs.. do you think it's still worth buying at this 2.50 price?

I bought AIG today when it was up 60% a .77 after blowing it off on Friday when it was high .40s. If these things return even to a semblance of their previous valuation--you will make 5-10 any money invested on any of these things. See if AIG pulls back a tad--it's cheaper and the volume is huge.

Thanks for the input Briggs. I'll keep an eye on it.

I think one thing that goes for the Citi's and the AIG's of the world is that the government has shown that they aren't going to let these places fail, so I think it's reasonable to think they will get back to some semblance of their previous prices.

I'm so fucking pissed off. I funded my zecco account the other day so I could purchase Citi at 1.81 and the transaction hasn't been confirmed yet!!!! and look at it now!!!

Guess those discount trade houses are not so cheap?

Well like I said earlier, I'm currently unemployed so I don't make enough trades to qualify for the free trading. It really doesn't take that much though. If I had a job I'd be trading more and wouldn't have to worry about this silly 3.95 transaction fee.

All the guys I talk to that are in the investing game tell me to stay cash for now. Does that make sense or is that just a safe play?

I actually did pick up a bit of it when it was at .70 .. at 1.30 now.. not to bad Briggs.

Also went in for Citi at 2.31 and thats at 3.06 .. again not too bad Briggs haha.

I got a 2nd interview with a lawfirm on Friday, so hopefully I'll get an offer from them. Once I start working, I'm going to jump back into the investing waters a little more.

I'd say a bunch of financials are at really attractive historical valuations, but I don't think the volatility is over. If you have the stomach and the ability to make a short term play there is certainly money to be made. It can be lost in a flash though.

Boy I think this run will be a once in a decade type deal. I sold off 25% positions to lock in some profits on two stocks but Im feeling pretty darn good about where this thing is going right now

There is another stock I started buying a few weeks back thaT I really like is Interphase--Ive been in and out of it twice over the last several years--ticker INPH-- I started buying back in the low 3s and have been buying it up to its present price[it has a very small float and is difficult to buy in a large lot]--I really have high hopes for this thing --maybe as high as any stock Ive ever owned. I shouldve been more aggressive when I started buying it but I think this has the potential to be a ten bagger anyway from here given time.

Where do I find these things--Ive been doing it for 18+ years

OAsis--IGOI--will be headed for 5.00 by the end of this year. For every dollar invested you will be getting nearly 6.5 back imho.

so you dont think the commercial real estate debt that is out there and needs to be refinanced will kill the markets run?

IGo is a fairly small capitalized company that sells phone and laptop chargers and is significantly undervalued. Ask a professor about macro-economic questions--when you want to make some money--ask me:)

In for 5100 IGOI @ .75 - tried to grab 8000 but couldnt get it.

I might go for some INPH Monday.

I usually dont go for tips from online forums but my accounts have been decimated and I have some money to burn so what the hell, I will roll the dice. Thanks for the heads up.

Hey your up already:) The company has nearly a 1.00 a share in cash TOL of another .2 and inventory and receivables of another .4 patents and patents pending of possibly much higher than all combined--your looking at a 2.00+ company selling for .75 just on a cash out valuation--thats discounting any true upside
BRIGGS @ 5/1/2009 6:46 PM
Also--to show my sincerity--I havent sold a penny and my goal is between 5+ I filled at .53+.54 in 3 lots
