i think the rangers need to talk to avery, or bench him if need be, so he doesnt pull anymore s*it this series. his penalty late in the 3rd almost cost the rangers the lead - lundquist is a stud for his 37 saves (i think) - he's really the one whose allowed the rangers to gain the advantage in this series....one thing, they better close out now in wash b/c wash is clearly the better team (havent been playing that way tho) and they might wake up - rangers cant be pressing their luck too long, close this thing out in 5.

Avery is like the Rodman of the NHL. I don't know why he can't help himself..but, again, I'm glad he's on the Rangers.

Torty is suspended!!!!! How horrible is this for the Rangers?!

Holy crap, 1-3 at the end of one..anyone watching this right now??
GKFv2 @ 4/26/2009 3:59 PM
Rangers are toast. They are going to lose the series.

I couldn't even make it through the first period. This team sorely missed Jagr and Shanahan... guys who put the puck in the net.
orangeblobman @ 4/26/2009 9:04 PM
yea it was pretty bad....one can only pray they come out angry for 7...but i gotta say, i love game 7s.

the devils are getting whooped right now too...bad day for tri-state teams.

Agreed... They were old, diminishing, and needed to be replaced. But the team (Slats) never tried to replace them. They both could put the puck in the net in big moments. There was no one on the roster that could consistently hit the back of the net. The team got chances and couldn't do anything with those chances time and time again.
orangeblobman @ 4/29/2009 8:52 AM
well that's that
mattshaw78 @ 4/29/2009 9:53 AM
In all honestly even if the Rangers got pass Washington, they won't get pass Boston. As much as I hate Boston, they have the best at almost every position

Thank God Sather got rid of Gomez... how he got a 20 goal scorer and a top prospect for a passionless mercenary is beyond me
orangeblobman @ 7/1/2009 1:47 PM
w00t! I always hated that Scott Gomez
SupremeCommander @ 7/2/2009 1:53 AM
Gaborik >>>>>>>>> Gomez

let's just hope he can play more often than not
SupremeCommander @ 7/15/2009 12:30 PM
I want the team to sign Dale Tallon as GM and let Sather be President, a la the rumored Walsh/Mullin set up
orangeblobman @ 7/15/2009 1:20 PM
Is Tallon a cool guy? Good worker? Is the coach coming back? The coach is a tough son of a gun.

He just got fired for messing up an administrative detail that cost the Blackhawks some money, but he's also the architect of the current Blackhawks team. he took them from laughingstock to contender in three years. He just signed Hossa and Madden. HE messed up, but I don't think he deserved to be fired over it. He would undoubtedly be an asset
