meh... neither are all that great... they're pretty well synched but they're not doing many difficult dance moves in those routines if you're talking show quality stuff... just a few flips & a head stand, no biggie (not that i can do it obviously)... btw, i dunno about anyone else but it annoys me when i see non-NYkers rockin' the Yankees caps trying to show out like they from NY... i know it's a culture thing but being a diehard Yankees fan it bothers me seeing peeps wearing a Yankees cap when they don't even follow the team.

u wanna see some serious dancing check out the R16 & BOTY bboy competition clips on YouTube... this is 1 of the better crews out there:

also check out the Rivers Crew, Gamblerz Crew & the Brazilian Allstars.

here's a couple really good Japanese crews for u to check out too:

Gotta say TMS, the first clip you put on I found utterly unimpressive. Yeah so the guy can do some moves. There was no creativity to the piece, no coordination, nothing. I got bored after a minute or so. The Japanese guys on the other hand VERY impressive.

Dont really think it looks good when a guy just steps up and busts a move. There are millions of people who can do that. But put it together with 10 other guys, add some choreography, some coordination, actually work at the art form you're expressing and it can turn into something awesome.

Personally I think Diversity would give any of those crews a run for their money. The kinda tell a story with their bit, you find yourself riveted, whereas the guy doing the same headspin move over and over gets boring after a while.

Check out their semi-final performances. They are both in Sats final btw. Should be an awesome danceoff. I would love it if they collaborated in some joint stuff, that would just be awesome.

if you meant they'd be able to hang w/these guys in an international bboying competition, there's no way dude... those guys in the 2 British crews & the ones u see on shows like America's Best Dance Crew probably couldn't even touch any of the halfway decent bboy crews out there when it comes to execution of moves & the athleticism & strength it takes to do them even if they had years to practice those moves & that style of dance... on the flipside i think the choreography the more mainstream crews are doing can easily be picked up by any decent bboy crew & executed well with just a week or 2 of practice... i mean Super Crew who won America's Best Dance Crew a couple years ago couldn't even make it past the 2nd round of last year's R16 competition... that's what puts bboying over the top in my view.

it takes years of practice to perfect the moves these kids are doing out there... IMO those 2 crews on that British show are just like your run of the mill America's Best Dance Crew competitors, but they'd never be able to throw down w/the best bboy crews out there, there's just no way... the 2nd clip of Flawless was better than the first except for the messed up landing on the final flip... Jabbawockeez were more polished, had a more original style & gimmick to their routines & entertained me more than those 2 crews did to tell u the truth, & even the Jabba guys only really have one guy who can execute the types of moves just about every one of the kids on each of the champion bboy crews can throw down & execute way better.

anyway, it's a little hard to compare the 2 styles since bboying originates off the streets & not in a dance studio so it's much more about individual expression of style & creativity than it is about doing every choreographed move perfectly & in synch w/5 or 6 other guys to put on a show... there's so much ad libbing that goes on during a bboy routine that's not choreographed at all... these guys just go out, feel the music & throw down a move in perfect synch w/that music that really expresses the feel of the beat & the individual dancer... it's crazy stuff, u can identify individual bboy crew members based on the moves they throw down cuz each of them has their own personal style... it's much more open to personal interpretation... there's less room for that when u have a completely choreographed routine... in bboying there are some choreographed moves that u pull off in conjunction w/other guys but for the most part it's all about you expressing yourself out on the dancefloor as opposed to doing a routine.

that's not to say i don't appreciate the mainstream stuff... i think Quest Crew was the best crew on ABDC so far cuz they combined some nice bboying into their choreographed routines & put on a great show

if we're talking the more choreographed mainstream stuff, 1 of my favorite routines was Jabbawockeez' Michael Jackson tribute on ABDC's 1st season

here's some really good poppers having a battle... put together a buncha these guys & they'd blow away any of those talent show competitors w/o any problem.
