Off Topic · Ever break a finger? (page 1)

Man this sucks. I was pursuing a loose ball in a basketball game and this guy who was probably 100 lbs heavier than me collided with me. Needless to say, I took the worse end of the hit! I hit the floor and my body landed on my right pinky and I got a displaced fracture. The ER doc sort of pushed the bone back into place. It hurts though. No more hoops for about 40 to 8 weeks depending on how it heals. I'm just hoping that I do make a full recovery. Right now the finger seems really messed up.

Pretty much had the same thing back in 10th grade, in gym class playing football. I caught a punt and broke my finger in 2 joints. I continued to play and that messed it up more. My pinky is deformed to this day b/c of that. I thought I actually might have broke my middle finger a few weeks ago playing bball, but it doesn't seem like that now, although it hurts a little from time to time.

I broke my pinker finger in basketball back in 10th grade as well.

Broke my pinky toe 3 summers ago by smashing into my dresser. That wasn't fun.

Bonnie, This happen in Alabama?

Damn! Argh! Just saw the orthopedist. I gotta have surgery to have a plate put in. Best case scenario is that I do make a full recovery and I can ball again in 3 months.

Haven't broken one but when I was a kid I had the tip of my left pinky smashed - luckily I was young enough that most of it grew back and I still have the nail - but it is shorter than the right hand not to mention it hurt like a mofo.

Damn, same exact thing happened to me with the same exact results damn near and I was around the same age. Spooky.

Only difference between our situations is that I am very good looking.

Broke my right pinky playing basketball when I was in the 9th grade. Got it caught in another guys jersey. It's still bent to this day. I played next 3 months left handed. I am now the most ambidextrous basketball player you have ever seen. Ever!

I feel down a flight of concrete steps and broke my index, middle and pinky finger. I also had a concussion.

I fell off my bike and chipped my two front teeth, but never broken a bone. but teeth are like bones, they are strong.

Had the surgery yesterday. Doc said it went well but it's quite painful!

vicodin. The pain is gradually subsiding. It hurts more than you might think, though, to have screws drilled into a bone!

Wait are we talking about a finger or a leg? Butch up you'll have a crocked finger but otherwise you'll survive
