How can a poster become more liked and welcome in his postings? Discuss. Please be specific. The aim of this exercise is to promote change and improvement in the postings.

nobody knows who anybody is on forums. so all they can go by is how one writes a post. if it doesn't come across like you're a douche baggins, then people won't get ticked off at you. just remember it's very easy to mis-interpret tone on posts since it's just printed words.

You gotto clarify "Dumb shyt" also b/c what you think is dumb, some people will disagree and think it's very intelligent.

You can't please the masses, especially on this message board where peoples views of the Knicks, and real life are so spread.

Therefore, don't worry about pleasing the masses. Just be yourself. And if being yourself is being a douchebag, then hey, we got somebody to make fun of at least.

Now to answer to your question. The key to being liked is the following:
1.) Have a sense of humor without being weird(this one goes out to you BBJ-you weirdo)
2.) Don't travel around from post to post looking for a fight.
3.) Don't post the same thing over and over again
4.) Don't be Allanfan20, dysunyc, BBJones, Solace, or yourself

The Key to beign loved:
1.) Be me

seriously though my advice for respect and love on uk, emulate gkf, i do-- works for me.

Likability is irrelevant. What matters is standing. You gain standing by amassing posts. It doesn't matter what the posts contain, just keep that number growing. 10,000 is the current threshold for respectability (Although that may increase to 20,000 as all the heavyweights are either at 20,000 or soon will be.).

It'll take another year and a half for you to reach 10,000. By then, 10,000 may not have as much cachet as it does now.

I recommend posting more often. It is also good to make those posts as provocative as you can. This creates arguments, which create more posting opportunities for you.

he was traded...we got eddy, jj and a third round draft pick in 2030 for him.

Come to think of it, where has bonnie been? Is it me or has he faded away?

"Likeabilty"? Cant think of your self as a superior minded individual! If you are, your not wasting time on a site like this were we argue the same thing in rotation every 3 months.
