Hey guys and gals, forum newbie here. My names David, im from Australia but am living in Oregon, USA at the moment going to college and living with my american girlfriend! Love my sports, and although i call soccer my favorite, also love all the American ones. Played basketball a bit when i was in school, enjoyed it a lot. Been a Knicks fan for a few years now, not the best years so far to be a fan but when i pick a team, they are my team and i stick by them whatever the situation Looking alright at the moment though! Look forward to a bit of banter with all you other fans and learning more about the sport and the team.
Also, i bought tickets a few weeks ago to see them play when they play @ Portland in March Cannot wait, be my first NBA game and nothing better than seeing my Knicks go at it and hopefully hand it to the Blazers in their own shed

Honestly do not really know, but i think it was a bit of the fact i didn't wanna jump on the Bulls bandwagon when i was younger, in Australia everyone just knew of Jordan and the bulls and i just wasn't into it. I think it may have stemmed from watching Friends and loving that show growing up, they were often off to Knicks games in the show. Lol only reason i can think of anyways! Either way i love them now and am pretty dame happy with my choice

Just be careful about where you take your NYC walkabouts.

Hi. Unlike the others, I will not make any silly jokes about Australia. Fair dinkum, I will just say G'day to you, and welcome you to the forum. No worries. Oh, and could you (in the words of your national hero, Paul Hogan) slip an extra shrimp on the barbie for me?

1993 I spend some time in Sydney and Cairns. Great seafood, beer and in Sydney some real beautiful women.
Never got to see Andrew Gaze play in person!!!!!
AussieKnick10@ 12/14/2009 3:01 AM
That's me and the girl. See, look at the love in those eyes Yeah, the accent did help as well.
Never saw Andrew play either, but saw my local legend Brett Maher play a few times. Brilliant player he was!

Welcome to the forum Aussieknick. Australia is definitely in my top 5 list of places I wanted to go to. Do you personally see a lot of wildlife down there?

AussieKnick10@ 12/14/2009 2:07 PM
Allanfan20, yeah I did which was nice! I grew up on a farm in a rural area of South Australia, so i would regularly see Kangaroos around the place. Other areas i have been i saw a lot of other wildlife too, so it is definitely worth going. Beautiful country, i still dream of driving around the whole country one day.
And thanks for the kudos on the girl and the beer haha, and the welcomes She's a top lady she is, and the beer is pretty tops too. Can't wait to have a few at a Knicks game!
