The Pacific is the by the same folks who put out Band of Brothers, a great WWII series looking at an Airborne division in the European theater of the war. The Pacific looks at Marines fighting the Japanese. The first episode was promising- hopefully it will be as good at Band, which I consider to be one of the best takes on WWII- TV or Movie- ever put out for people to see.
Justified features Timothy Olyphant as an Elmore Leonard created lawman sent to Kentucky (I think) after being too much of a loose cannon in a big city setting. I know Olyphant from Deadwood, where he also played a lawman. Good show, wonderful dialogue, and fine actors in this one.
I usually download torrents and get my shows that way, since I don't have cable. Both of these shows are "bandwidth worthy" IMO.
I guess we ain't talking "McHales Navy" are we?
Missed Pacific episode 1 and it looks like they are no longer showing it online. Anybody have a link for episode 1? I am too cheap to have hbo.
Not to nitpick but The Pacific is a 10 episode miniseries and not a regular show with seasons and stuff. It's still a great though.

TMS,
I've been meaning to ask you if your still following the show. At first I was disappointed because I was hoping it would be another Rome but it's growing on me. You forgot to mention the show has a ton of peen shots very very nice peen shots.

yeah, when it first started it was pretty cheesy & campy, pretty much a cheap imitation of Rome & 300, & the characters weren't nearly as interesting as in Gladiator, but lately i've been getting more into the show & Lucy Lawless is great... i'm guessing you liked that Gaul in the last episode & Crixus. lol.
What did they do to the Gaul's peen at the end because it looked like it had been flayed ouch! I love Lucy Lawless in this I never saw her in anything else but I'm actually digging her character now.
they gave him a sex change, Roman style.
Lucy Lawless was Xena the Warrior Princess, u might have seen her on a few episodes of Hercules too.

Lucy Lawless also played in Battlestar Galactica the 2004 version show - D'Anna. She did well - acted instead of being a warrior.
Also, I highly recommend Battlestar Galactica.(5 seasons)

I got entranced by Battlestar Galactica marathon but than gave up because it was the last season and there was too many unanswered questions for me. But she looks so different with that vibrant red color that's probably why I didn't initially recognize her. But I'm going to watch the series eventually.

Oh man what a way to go yea I forgot she was on that show but like I said with that Scarlett hair color it really changes her look.

The last season of B Galactica was fabulous. They ended it really well and tied up the loose ends. Best to start at the beginning with the mini-series (2 episodes I think) and then season 1.

I've been downloading the shot in as a bit torrent file. Definitely a guilty pleasure, and definitely not the Spartacus of Kirk Douglas.
The girlfriend has not seen it yet- I'm not sure she would appreciate the finer points of the female anatomy that are shown on a regular basis. The last episode- #9- was the most racy so far, IMO.
It will be interesting to see where they take this show if it is picked up for another season.
