Black man in the white house hiring hispanics (supreme court) & now asians ....WTF is the world coming too??? Is there no place for the white man in socialist America

Sorry been watching Tea Party (or is it Tea Bagging)videos for a doc im working on, & I guess Palin's philosophy is starting to get to me

BasketballJones @ 3/27/2010 11:55 AM
TMS, you can't take another job! Your primary job is posting here on UK. It's important that you keep your priorities straight and continue to focus on your posting, and getting to 100,000 posts ASAP. We're counting on you. Don't screw it up by dividing your attention with another job. With what Martin & Andrew are paying you, I'm surprised you would even consider such a thing.
NYKBocker @ 3/27/2010 1:05 PM
Congrats TMS. I hope this does not affect your Alba post count.

What is Palin's philosophy? I'd be shocked if that broad would be able to even define the difference of Communism vs. Socialism. I'd wager my job that if you put her on the spot, she doesn't even know what socialism is. She's an insult to history textbooks and political science.

that would obviously help my cause, but i'm also gonna be working on other Democratic party candidates, so the workload will be plenty.

Paladin55 wrote:Good for you.

I assume that the Big O's mailings will now include some of his more...ahh...pleasant looking female supporters in provocative poses...right?

if u see the word "bukkake" appear in any future direct mail you receive for your local candidates, you now know where it came from

chislic wrote:Dude... so I wasn't the only unemployed production artist/Knicks fan?!?!

Congrats on the new job!! Sounds like a sweet gig. I'm happy for you. Unemployment can be stressful.

I was laid off yearly last year from an ad agency. Not a lot of production artist jobs in Minneapolis right now. I've had some success freelancing.

i know exactly what u mean... production gigs are few & far between, & the ones that are out there are paying crap & crazy competitive to get... everyone's cutting back on their marketing budgets w/this economy the way it is... that's a big part of the reason why i moved out to the DC area to begin with, figured it would be easier to find some graphic design work for the government or defense contractors, but everyone requires u to have a damn security clearance to work for them out here & it's hard to find a company that will sponsor you to get one cuz it takes 6 months of background investigation to get.

you might wanna check out some websites that post 1 time freelance gigs to find extra work... i've been checking this site for occasional gigs:

http://www.geniusrocket.com/rfb/

also try Craigslist

i got enough posts to qualify for a pension at this point... i recently asked martin & Andrew for a raise but was denied... i'm moving on with a company that will appreciate my talents.

there's always time for bukkake updates broham

Right on TMS! Let me know if they need a saxophone player. I play everything except "Baker St".
TMS @ 3/28/2010 11:31 PM
thanks dude... i'll ask if they could use an extra sax player at the next Democratic convention, but Bill Clinton may have the inside track on that gig bro.

Congrats - tough time to find a job, glad you got one.

I have been working as an independent consultant since last September, while it is lucrative and I can't complain - it is not the line of work I saw myself getting into after getting my MBA. It is tough to be on the road all week away from my family, but I can pay the bills and save some money which I really can't complain about.

The only thing that sucks is that I don't know what the future holds for me when the project ends, and I could be sent home at any time. My lease is up at the end of May and my gf has a job at the University where we live, we have extended a few times but want to move to a place where there will be more long term options since there really are no jobs outside of the University.

I had been working on getting a job with the group I am with now but the head of the group is leaving so it probably won't happen (he brings in all of the business so if he leaves the group is pretty much done).

I have been thinking about starting my own business since I am not really a fan of the corporate life, but havent put enough thought into it to make a move just yet.

jusnice @ 3/29/2010 10:55 AM
cograts man. does that mean that you'll have less time to post bukkake comments and lament about the Yankees signing Vazquez?
TMS @ 3/29/2010 11:50 AM
Oasis, that's awesome at least you're keeping busy... nowadays doing anything to make money & pay the bills is worthwhile... i was applying for jobs outside of my field also, things were getting to the point where anything to pay the rent would have been fine with me... lucky to land this gig in this crappy ass job market, hopefully i can stick over the long haul.

starting up your own business sounds like a great plan... i was trying that too at one point doing promotions making some extra cash on the side but not enough or stable enough to depend on type of income... if u have some spare time u should look into maybe getting yourself incorporated as an LLC... u can start out small & build from there... i have very little knowledge on the business side but have been getting advice from friends that are in the field & they tell me that's a good way to go... best of luck bro, hope you find what you're looking for.

jusnice, don't worry, you'll be hearing from me on Javy again in October.

Congratulations. Everything happens in life for a reason. It took awhile but at least now you have the job that you wanted.

On a side note, does this mean you will not be playing ball this summer?

TMS @ 3/29/2010 2:37 PM
u never know bro, i might get my ass up to NYC on a weekend to ball w/u guys again.
