last night was HOT! black milk came out and did his thing with a live drummer and keyboard player. pretty dope. LB followed with a sick set full of non-stop classics. you know, if i wanted to, i could harp on the PA system or talk about how phonte's voice was sounding a bit rough, but really none of that shit detracted from the overall great party vibe. after last night, i got new respect for pooh. he held it down for the crew when it was clear phonte was not at his best.

again, party vibe was so present and positive and jumpin. exactly what i look for in a hip hop show. you could just tell everyone there was loving every minute of it. the vibe was so right that you could roll up with minimal game and bounce with a shorty. lots of pretty girls. never enough, but at least the ones there were quality. club was crazy. never been there. looked like some crouching tiger shit. was just waiting for the samurai's to roll up. dope show. i don't think LB is done. time will tell.

Rap is pop now. It mirrors every other pop genre and has zero integrity.

Before, hip hop used to tell the suburbs what to do. Now the suburbs tell hip hop what to do. The culture is dead, but there are still some cool joints nowadays.

Stuff like homosexuality, selling out, biting another man's style, ext... ---- those were all unforgivable sins. Now they are incorportated fully into rap and encouraged.

There is no soul or balance of styles in hip hop. Just one homogenous sound. It is all disposable pop music for the most part. Not trying to sound bitter, it just is what it is.

Well there is one way that rap puts its foot down, nowadays. If a rapper sounds smart, he or she is positioned as weird and underground. Said rapper is shunned and unaccepted by the mainstream.

Didnt Public Enemy used to be the biggest rap group in the world, back in the day? LOL. Times done changed.

give the business enough time to figure out the formulas and they'll suck the soul out of any music.
