tough pill to swallow.
now we need algeria to come up big today...
donovan and bradley were huge throughout the match
Stupid effing lowlife referees, stole 2 points from us. But, damn what a comeback. That solo effort by Donovan was quite the treat to watch.
Bradley doing the decent thing on the wrap up interview. No point going after the Refs, what's done is done.
Damn, I missed the 2nd goal. Gotta catch the highlights but good to see a D instead of an L.
such a shame...
but again, donovan and bradley have upped their stock, i think...
bradley did a really good job controlling the center midfield with tackles, passes, headers...and that nice finish.

bradley played a fantastic game. from start to finish, he was the best player on the field for the US.

back in the day when i was a college hoops head i used to take time off to watch the tournament. in the earliest opening bar of course.
now it's crazy to figure out how the us can get out...
so, if england wins today they will be tied with slovenia in points, but depending on how much they win by they will either be tied in goal difference or someone will be ahead...
my question is what happens if two teams are tied in goal difference and points at the end of the group phase?
do they first go to head to head (already a draw), then count how many goals your team scored, then if that's tied...conceded?
there are so many possibilities still...
the england-algeria match will tell us more though...
if england wins by 1 they would be tied with slovenia for points (4) and goal difference (1), and the u.s. in 3rd with 2 points and 0 goal difference.
if england win by more than 1 they will be 1st with slovenia 2nd.
going into the final group match...
if the u.s. wins over algeria they can advance if england wins today and...
1) slovenia or england beat the other team
2) they draw and the u.s. wins by 2 or more goals
this leads to my question about what helps teams get out of their groups if they have the same goal difference...
if england and slovenia draw then one of these variables will determine if the u.s. can get out of the group...

bet you have a small fridge in it so you don't have to truck all the way into the kitchen.

We organized a little "public viewing" at the office!
