I cant wait till it comes out. I used to rock the old one every day, it was without a doubt the best RTS game ever made and still is (which is kind of sad). I heard that its compatible with older computers too, you know if thats true?

Wow, this game is long overdue. I haven't played StarCraft in awhile. Damn, I don't think my laptop can handle it though.

no, i haven't been able to get my hands on it, or even find the time to play video games lately... but i'm definitely picking up this game as soon as i get my new mac... i used to be completely addicted to this game, stay up all night to play it... on second thought, maybe i shouldn't get this game afterall.

izybx @ 7/28/2010 5:09 AM
tried to downlead and told my cpu is too old
SupremeCommander @ 7/28/2010 8:02 AM
used to play the original nonstop... I am not a gamer by any means but i absolutely want this game. Games like this, Counter Strike and Final Fantasy (and certain sports titles)I'll find time for every few years

Anyone played it yet?

I have a late 2009 iMac with a core i7, 8 gigs of RAM, etc so I think it should run on this thing pretty nice. Just not sure if I want to go OSX or Windows - I havent put Windows on my Mac yet but I do have a copy of 7 sitting around so I might do it for this.

Can you play online for free? If so I will pick it up and maybe we can get some UK game action going

Oasis, let me know how that works for you if you run it through Win7 on your Mac. i'm gonna be ordering my new mac in a few days. the new imac refresh just came out the other day.

Which one do you have your eye on? 21.5? 27? I have the 27 and it is AMAZING. Granted I haven't really gamed on it but the screen is beautiful, the computer is lightening fast. And it's really fun to use. I recommend going 27 and dropping the extra cash on the i7 processor.

As far as gaming goes they also upgraded the video cards so if my rig can run it a new one will do it even better. I will download tomorrow and report.

I do know that gaming on win7 on the iMacs is supposed to be pretty awesome.

TMS @ 7/29/2010 3:46 AM
can't decide if i wanna go w/the macbook pro w/the new 27" LED display, or just get the 27" iMac w/the recent upgrades... definitely will get the i7 CPU tho, & maybe a solid state drive if i decide on the iMac... just wish they'd included USB 3.0, HDMI & bluray, but i don't think bluray will ever come to the macs cuz of itunes video downloads.
TMS @ 8/4/2010 7:22 AM
decided to go with a PC laptop afterall... u just get so much more tech for your money in comparison to macs. (tho i really wish i could have the same kind of battery life as the macbook pros have... ah well, can't have everything in life)

just ordered these specs (let me know what you guys think):

Dell Studio XPS 16 Notebook
Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
4GB, DDR3, 1333MHz 2 Dimm
15.6 inch Wide Screen 16:9 1080p Full HD WLED LCD, W/2.0 MP Webcam
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730 - 1GB
128GB Solid State Drive
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
Integrated 10/100 Network Card
BluRay/DVD-R/CD-R Combo Drive
Soundblaster X-Fi Hi Def Audio
Intel WiFi Link 5300 802.11AGN Half Mini Card
9-cell Battery

altogether with discounts, tax & free shipping, i got this for just over $1465 total.

was considering the Alienware M15x at first cuz that thing just looks bad ass & is a gaming beast, but it still cost around $2200 for almost the exact same specs as the one above except with a slightly better GTX285 graphics card... i'm not a heavy duty gamer anyway. (but damn, that M15x is a sexy looking thing!)

nyk4ever @ 8/4/2010 8:35 AM
that looks solid tms, you'll be fine with that. let me know when you get on starcraft bro.
TMS @ 8/4/2010 11:53 AM
i should be getting this delivered sometime next week... can't wait to start playing finally.
TMS @ 8/4/2010 9:55 PM
