Back to R & R. A very old clip of Carole King performing two hit songs that were written by her and made famous by other people. Carole & Co perform them much better, IMO and they really nail the 2nd song.

Edited: better version added

Wish there were more singer/songwriters out there today like Carol King. From the Brill Building to Tapestry and beyond, she really could make music.

Only a few people on this thread but I thought I'd give credit to Reg Presley, who just passed away yesterday from cancer. RIP. He was lead singer and songwriter for the Troggs, a British group from the 60's and 70's who every so often would come up with a top hit. Their first #1 hit "Wild Thing" was a great party song that sent everyone's 2nd chakras wild. It beat out the Beatles and Stones for #1 on the charts. Their other top hit, "Love is All Around Me" has been covered by a bunch of groups including REM, WET WET WET, etc.a and was a hit for them.

They were a fun group.
