Funny you bring up the Doors. I was speaking the other day with a friend who played in an earlier band with some of the members of The Doors, before they joined and became The Doors. Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger met at a Transcendental Meditation (TM) lecture along with my friend when they all started meditation. Also, Robbie Krieger had earlier studied classical guitar and Light My Fire has a little opening and closing rift from Bach. Great group.
Edit: Corrected by my friend - Ray Manzarek studied some classical and he came up with the opening rift which was from/similar to Bach.
Krieger is pretty underated, imo.
The solo in 'You Make Me Real'
is just a great piece (2 of 'em), with the track from the live L.P. being the best version!!
