LOOK is going into expansion mode. 1st it appoints a new director who has a very successful track record and yesterday Look announces it will open a new office in Toronto and is immediately hiring. Volume on Tues is 1.22 million vs an average volume of 80,000. Somethings going on.
Nalod @ 5/4/2011 7:56 AM
Looks earnings mixed. Lower sales but higher margins.

Cash levels @ 25mm.

No game changer here. Institutional ownership in good chunks.

Any thoughts?

You have to know when to fold the cards man. I've got a few more but I believe that anyone who bought into LOOK will be well rewarded within 6 month time. I mean triple + Insider trading is a key element into figuring things out for a small investor. Always keep an eye on SEC filings--they are easy to track--some of the bigger filings 10-K etc... are harder to read but always advise to atleast skim through them and jog down notes.

The drop in IGOI and GSIT was foretold.

When you are done F a stock the correct answer is what is GSIT? Think of a stock as your mistress---you have fun get what you want and leave before the sht hits the fan. GSIT would be very nice again at 3--id be willing to go back in.

Hey Briggs. Thanks for all the advice through the years...

Speaking of F a stock.. should we F MTEX?

Thanks

Briggs

I've been your quiet follower for past 4 years, made great returns on ARIA, GSIT, EGHT and WAVX and I really appreciate your input to this forum. 2 months ago I joined a company that prohibits personal trading, great place otherwise so I plan to stay there for a bit. I'm left with IGOI at 1.6 45%, IDCC at 50 45% and MTEX at 1.8 10%. I can only sell so LOOK is not an option for me. Would you say those 3 picks are worth to keep in 3-5 yrs perspective or I should get out ASAP? I know you're not personal trading advisor so if you don't answer I totally understand. ARIA and GSIT took their time to hatch so I thought maybe patience is the key

Thanks

I had such a small amount of that it was really a non-entity. If you bought 1k shares at 1.90 or whatever--sell it--mark the loss to offset any gains and put the money to work some place else.

When a stock makes a massive run--the advise is almost always sell--or at the minimum reduce to take out principle. I held GSIT for 2 years and it became my time to sell even though I thought it had more upside and it ended up a very nice decision to do so. Maybe I can find the same stock trading at 3 and do it again. If you ever feel uncomfortable----SELL>

BLDP in the same boat... or do you still have faith in that?

Nalod @ 5/26/2011 10:04 AM
Briggs,

Still "Look"ing sharp on LookSmart? Volumne is low, Im patient but just checking if your still positive on it.

Any others you might want to visit? THX

Markji @ 6/1/2011 10:17 AM
IGOI seems to be bouncing back - low hit $2.03. Now $2.30
Is it time to take a small position?
Nalod @ 6/10/2011 9:32 AM
Briggs,

Anything compelling to you in this environment? Still positive on LOOK?

Market sitting primarily on Tech support levels makes for an interesting crossroad.
