I agree. I think what will stink is that if Dolan gets that involved and this happens Walsh will not stay. He will be a gentleman about it but I think he expects autonomy in his position. I think the Isiah stuff last summer, coupled with Dolan stepping in and undermining Walsh's position and Walsh's health will push him out the door. I think he might be tiring of being blindly loyal to his coach especially after the lack of endorsement from him as well.
Months ago I said that Dolan wants this to happen and that was a big fear I had. I gotta admit that I didn't expect him to be so deeply involved in such a public way. Still until we hear what the final package is it's hard to know just how much damage Dolan has done. SMH, cuz he should've just let Walsh do his thing. This is life as a Knick fan. Putting up with Dolan and his dumb interference.

It's hard to believe that the offer is going up an up. You know Dolan is involved. Anyway, it still comes back to "Me"lo getting what he wants, really. I just don't get why a few million is such a difference, especially with all the endorsement money to be made here. With all the protests in the world, I get the feeling that the NBA and NFL might not even be around next year, so enjoy the rest of the year.

That's what I feared- Walsh played this patiently, waiting until denver ran out of options- unfortunately just as thats about to happen Dolan has come blundering in to undo his hard work- we're really offering up more than we need to- Melo has pretty much just told the Nets he ain't signing with them- what other options does that leave denver? hope he'll sign the extention after all this? If we could of pulled off this deal without giving up Felton and Gallo, then we could of traded those two next year for Deron Williams (Utah would love Gallo!). And the worse thing is that if the Melo deal does go through, Dolan and IT will think it's all thanks to them- idiots.
Shame Walsh isn't going to have his option picked up, but really he deserves better- how can Dolan have unswerving loyalty to fools like Layden and IT, but seemingly has a contempt for a GM who actually knows what he's doing...

You are trying to dismiss the contents of this entire article because you feel the writer doesn't like the Knicks so he is making all of this up. NOT!
Wojnarowski is a national sports writer for a major news organization who also has to maintain a level of factual information and journalism standards. I don't recall any national sports writer calling out an organization and owner like he has with Dolan and Isiah in this article. There is a lot of truth in what he has written. If he made all of this up, his job would be at stake.

Not really. If you said Amar'e's knees will blow out and Melo without Amar'e will bring us to a second round playoff exit, then you got something. I think a healthy Amar'e and Melo would've gotten us to the ECF.
