Just getting in late and catching up on the thread. Incredible numbers so far.

Yes I am starting to see that.

Yeah, I don't get that. The comment about not "buying into" pace and giving up 100 points is 100 points regardless of pace is beyond absurd. It's clear there's a misunderstanding that fast paced offense means no defense and this is somehow a justification for "defense wins championships", when fast paced offense does not necessarily prohibit a good defense. Despite the numerous number of times their misconceptions are brought to their attention, they refuse to change their obviously errant opinion. I give up. Might as well hate blindly, as this is more interesting than rooting for your team or paying attention to facts.

TD with the bonehead move..26 secs left with 24 on clock and he drives to bucket to get blocked. He's playing well today though.

Marv - Shelden runs like Marvin Webster. Force feed him the ball!

simrud @ 4/5/2011 9:27 PM
its been explained a million times that even when adjusted for pace, which it should, our defense is still terrible

so really, you guys are the ones just talkin about things without any idea

Olbrannon @ 4/5/2011 9:27 PM
Melo with 2 unforced turnovers in that one. Not a good quarter

stops have to happen, that's all. if this team ever becomes great, they will have their definin moments on defense because scoring will always be easy for them

I've been saying the same for a long time now. Good defense will always let your offense shine. On nights when shots aren't falling, you can still escape with victories that have stemmed from defense.

But you're just a hater if you use this reasoning.

Stop making sense.

For all the people who give D'antoni a pass for the pace, can you please explain why the Knicks are the 5th worst team in the NBA when it comes to opponent's FG%?

Anyone have an excuse for that statistic?

simrud @ 4/5/2011 9:30 PM
see like right now, they are not makin every single open shot, and can't get a stop - have to learn how to d up
misterearl @ 4/5/2011 9:30 PM
Got to drive the ball.

Forget the three point shots for a moment

Marv @ 4/5/2011 9:31 PM
wow! td with the behind the back p n r in traffic to amear!!
CrushAlot @ 4/5/2011 9:32 PM
It might be a good idea to rest Amare soon if the Knicks continue to dominate.
simrud @ 4/5/2011 9:32 PM
i have to say TD has been gettin much better at passing and running the pick and roll more specifically
VDesai @ 4/5/2011 9:34 PM
Douglas and Carter are actually better PG's for this offense than Billups. Seems Billups is just a shooter in this O sometimes.

That was the same PnR pass that Billups made in the first half. Nice.

simrud @ 4/5/2011 9:36 PM
this is when i wonder why d'anton is even at the game, have to adjust now that they are closin out on the perimeter, and drive instead of takin 3's that are now contested
