Somewhat lost in the feel-good story of Denver's all-around play is the fact Wilson Chandler hasn't been very good since the trade.
He might be looking at another year playing for his QO.
yea, good point.... last night I saw him airball a couple of shots, I was like whoa... or at least one airball and the other was way, way off..
holy cow, didn't notice, so same for me.
I wonder if Wilson is just one of those dudes who is easily knocked from his norm and comfort zone. Pretty sure outside pressure gets to him, even if his face doesn't show it.
Maybe coddled isn't the right word, but perhaps he needs constant reassurance with his game.
Has he been hurt?

I would still take him back. Wilson off the bench for us would be great!
Who's The Man?
It's only a set of numbers on a page but Carmelo's numbers since wearing orange and blue provide some fun reading.
The third column, three point fg percentage, is REALLY fun. The fifth column, assists per game (3.0 for Melo), will improve with familiarity, trust and playing point forward with a legit center
Lebron James
min 38.7 fg .510 three point fg .330 free throw pct .759 rebounds per gm 7.5 assists 7.0 scoring avg 26.6
Carmelo Anthony
min 36.4 fg .466 three point fg .434 free throw pct .875 rebounds per gm 6.9 assists 3.0 scoring avg 26.2
Kobe Bryant
min 33.8 fg .450 three point fg .320 free throw pct .823 rebounds per gm 5.1 assists 4.7 scoring avg 25.1

Can't beleive what the Knicks had to give up to get him.
Chaos, can you please make the photo larger for me and Marv?
Most game winners with ten seconds or less?
Carmelo Anthony. More than Kobe.
This squad is learning how good it can be on the road. Chicago will be a great tune up game with nothing to lose. (Please allow Amare's ankle to heal completely.)
Stay thirsty my friends.
master of platitudes, you are.
Not Platitudes, Just Facts
Anthony is now 19-39 in his career in shots that could tie or put his team up in the final 10 seconds of regulation or overtime. His 16 go-ahead shots moved him one past Kobe Bryant for the most since 2003-4.
Moments earlier, Anthony told his teammate Jared Jeffries that “if we get a stop, we’re going home happy today.” The Knicks’ sometimes careless defense did not allow a point in the final 3 minutes 32 seconds as they erased a 6-point deficit.
“I knew, I knew it was in,” Anthony said. “Some of them, I’m skeptical about. That one I did. As soon as I released it. You just get that feeling.”
“I just love the moment, man,” Anthony said. “That’s all. If I make the shot I’m a hero. If I don’t, move on to the next day. That’s the way I look at it.”
Carmelo also fell on his wrist twice. He refused D'Antoni's offer to come out of the game and drained a three, just for effect.

Rod Strickland was good. Chris Dudley was good. Timofey Mozgov was good. Latrell Sprewell was good before he had to feed his family.
Carmelo Anthony is better than good.
He is better than sliced bread, jelly donuts, french fries, pizza with pepperoni, root beer over crushed ice and a lemon Italian Ice on a hot summer day.
He is clutch.

Is he better than a reuben sandwich, with curly fries, cole slaw, and pickles? with a bloody mary? after an gamweeeeeeered induced hangover?

Tough call but without a beach chair rolling surf babe and flip flops I take Melo.

After minimal consideration, I agree

Which begs the question, which is better...
Spring Break at a cheap hotel in Jacksonville, Florida..., or Melo?

oh no sport ...we talking lifetime out the backdoor or you got no biz talking. thinking about it...the babe part is already spoken for and the rod and reel is unused lately...I'll just hang on to the Melo character till I see if he can fish or just cut bait.

Not even Michael Jordan is better than spring break in Montreal. Why Montreal? The legal drinking age is 19

Classic.
Caribana in Toronto is the sh!t.
I would submit that Carmelo is better than a weekend trip to Atlantic City, Las Vegas and Coney Island combined.
Maybe not better than a six day trip to Amsterdam. (with a Five star hotel in The Hague) But it's close.

come on man... you know I was upset with the trade as well, but with the way melo is playing on both ends of the court, the guy is moving himself into that elite level.. he has a chance this playoffs with amare to become legendary.. no kidding..

I tell you what, outside chance Knicks go on a different kind of '99 run. Boston has cracks in their armor and then Orlando, Knicks don't match them well at the C or PG spots, but neither does Orlando match the PF, SF spots for the Knicks. Could be interesting.
Melo, Amare get hot and Billups finds his playoff fever, anything can happen.
