This needs to be proven/verified at the next UK Pick-Up Basketball game or else your username will be revoked
I haven't played an actual game in over 7 years. These days my basketball prowess is limited to the PS3 and shooting Nerf hoops with my son. I went to the park last summer with my brother just to shoot for a few hours. The next day I could barely walk up the steps to catch the train. Getting old sucks.......
that's perfect you'll fit right in with the overall B-Ball abilities of the group (with the exception of Bitty who can actually ball)
OK, I'm in for the next pick up game. Just promise to call an ambulance for me.
i am blob because i am never stagnant, always striving for greater complexity, so my experience and my appearance morphs, shifts, is dynamic, i am a great mass of action, thought, and life. a blob of life.
orange, i like knicks, the best color, the most powerful color in their combination is orange.
man, i am man.
The tj is just my first and middle initial. And around the time I joined ny was trying to sign some guy that wore #23. He took the easy way out and started a bad trend in the league
MSG are my initials and the initials of the Mecca. 3 has always been my number because I grew up loving the fire and desire of John Starks.

I loved that dog and he did help to ease some of the pain. I spent hours training him and he was so obedient. I could instruct him to stay in the middle of Jamaica Park full of kids and walk out of the park, out of his sight and he wouldn't budge until I came back and gave him the command. Great dog. He did more for us than we did for him, tho he never knew it.
it's clear why you are the way you are about the team dude. that ability to gain perspective.
dope story.
A-Train was my nickname given to me by my teammates in high school. They gave me that name because I could get into the lane with ease and I would drive with full force(although, I didn't finish often lol). The nickname stuck throughout AAU and now college. My mother even calls me by the name sometimes. Btw, I always had and still do have the worst jump shot on the team
moi?
ha, just look up prezike or DJ President Ike...
started djing in college with vinyl and on the radio and wanted a persona...
so i came up with "President Ike" which was actually about my mother's mother (my grandmother/nana) calling me ike, as a nickname for isaac...and with her love for eisenhower (including a mug, "i like ike")...but turns out i learned later was a way to hide my father's "jewish" side given her being an italian-american catholic in a jersey shore VERY irish-american town...because of all this, i decided to use the name as a playful way of embracing the whole thing by calling myself "President Ike"...then also in college used to play electronic arts (ea) nba live! with a good friend of mine and he wrote my name in the game as PresIke, knowing my radio show, although always called me "PrezIke"...
My "Knickname" is about 13 years old, its the first handle I used on AOL. I was 17, moved out of my dad's house and was staying with a friend until I could find my own place. My friend used to play golf and Ram tour came from a box of golf balls. 420 is self explanatory, its short for "time to light up some greens", which I used to do a lot.
Originally it was knicksbb10 when I first started on the site. i'm sure you all know what it stands for but when I changed it, the original name was lost according to Martin.
Now its WoodmanNYK. In High School, I was on the wrestling team so they use to call me Woods for short or WOODMAN as being one of the good guys on the wresting team...
I like the Knicks and my first name is Dominic. Ok it is not like that. Actually I created this name around 2002 in the msg.com forum before joining the best knicks forum there is. I was drunk, the word kingdom came to mind hence the name. Go figure.
Man this is actually a really cool thread!
Papabear Says
I'm a big guy and I was told that I was cuddly like a teddy bear and my grand kids started calling me Papabear and the name stuck. I would always say to my kids listen to what I say and too my grand kids I always say to then when I am trying to watch a baseball or basketball or football game and they are over to my house playing and making noise I would shout! Papabear Says Be Quite and they would start saying Papabear Says, Papabear Says, Papabear Says. and then go running out of the room.
I just picked a random name.
Picked up the word back in HS. My English teacher used it; French for cold blooded. He explained it as, "coolness in a trying situation".

Nix thanks for sharing this. I know you have a lot of character and I have a lot of respect for you. My wife had a miscarriage with her second pregnancy and it was pretty devistating but we already had my oldest son so I think that helped. As far as my name on the forum is concerned it was one of many I used on NJO Nets forum. I was a bit immature about my posting back then and had a lot of names that I posted under. I just signed on as CrushAlot here. I posted on there as Jason Williams good leg, Fibula Knee back and Crushalot but it was always just in jest to bust on Nets fans. I used to post on realgm as EwingluvIII but for some reason couldn't get that id on here so I ended up with Crushalot.
One other thing. I don't like to get personal on this forum because it is an outlet for me but there is something that really gets under my skin sometimes. I am and have been a special education teacher in a public school for 16 years. I am one of the therapuetic crisis intervention trainers for my district and prior to woring in a public school I was a crisis interventionist at a day treatment program. My wife is a social worker and has been employed by the same children's agency for many years. I hate getting personal but please do not come on this sports forum and post about your experience as a teacher or social worker and how it relates to sports. I get it if you coach or were a major athelete but if you are trying to start your career check yourself with that opinion. Please know that it takes every fiber in my being not to blast you for your arrogance and ignorance.
My undergrad fraternity had a listserv that we'd send all all sorts of ridiculous shit on it. For whatever reason, guy's would sign the email with:
Fraternally,
Joe "Girls Love Me More Than a Fat Kid Loves Cake" Blow
or something to that effect. You'd get business and social messages sent out. But, also, you'd get some debate sent. The president had asked me to speak on a community panel on behalf of the fraternity about race, and I did, but under the condition that I would be allowed to be the chapter's president for a day. He agreed, but didn't honor his promise.
Later the campus gave me an award (the community hostility was aimed at the white, Protestant frat boy) for what I said on the panel (my message was basically "y'all want to be celebrate your heritage and unique difference--and you should--but think about me and other white, Protestant males that are essentially asked to be the uncelebrated. Think about how that affects race relations") and, I think, for also sticking around and talking to everyone that I spoke with in the audience.
So, the president had to let me be president for a day, and I signed off on all the listserv messages as "Supreme Commander". Immediately after, I registered at a basketball forum instead of studying for finals. Took that handle from the other forum to here.
