Even if Vucevic is equivalent to Jordan, I think it would be wise to draft him and have that big man rotation set with Turiaf.
Tyler is intriguing but too much of a risk for a team that needs players to perform now. I'd still look to get him with a bought 2nd Rounder. But we need immediate performers with 17 if we can.
I like the offensive and defensive combination of having both Vucevic and Jerome the Jamaicahn
Berman has been on top of our pick in the couple of days leading up to the draft the last several years. He called Balkman, Chandler and Hill from what I remember.
Phil I will take vucevic ahead of NY, if we don't trade with pacers. Another draft year player we like goes a pick ahead
I dont understand why we'd waste a pick on Vucevic. Why do people keep assuming Vucevic is going to automatically be a major contributing starter? He is a low upside player.
Please tell me the last big drafted that played major contributing minutes on a playoff team?

I know you prefer tyler but we don't need a super star and I am not saying players we draft at this are super star we just need a consistant player.

I understand we dont need a superstar. We need a mobile big though. Guys like Noah are going to own Vucevic.

Clealry Nikola is the more skilled player at the moment. Thing is Vucevic isn't going to get faster or start jumping higher. Tyler also appears to have given Nikola trouble with his speed and agility.
Amare and Melo would also help expedite Tyler's skill development. Only reason Tyler is rated as low as he is because people didnt see him play in Japan.

The guy is 7- 260 20 years old--can dribble with either hand well can shoot with both hands has post moves and a jumpshot out to 20 feet gets up and down well for his size rebounds knows how to play--this guy can play right now and has nice upside in terms of age work ethic bloodlines--what exactly is not to like there? the guy would be a top 5 pick easy if he stayed his last year. To get a big diversified skilled C where we are picking would be a major coup. Put it this way--if I was in charge---I would do what it takes to acquire him--if that meant giving up 3mm and a 2 to move up 2-3 spots I would do it
Nikola Vucevic is starting to grow on me the more i watch videos of him. THe guy can definitely score and he is huge, which are two things we have been missing from our center position. I worry that he is not going to able to guard some NBA centers. Tyler was noticeable quicker than him and that gave Vucevic problems. But Vucevic does looki like he at least pays attention on defense and he would give us a big body that can score in the paint. I would not be opposed to the Knicks drafting him. I woulld not be opposed to the Knicks drafting Tyler either as he looks like a solid prospect too.
