Knicks to be shutout of drafts for years to come.

Rockets receive the Knicks' 2012 first-round pick (top 5 protected in 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015, if not conveyed by 2015 then the Rockets will receive the Knicks 2015 and 2016 second-round picks) (Tracy McGrady trade 02-18-10)

Nuggets receive the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, via Knicks (David Lee trade 07-09-10) (Carmelo Anthony trade 02-22-11)

Nuggets receive the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick, via Knicks (David Lee trade 07-09-10) (Carmelo Anthony trade 02-22-11)

Suns receive the Knicks' 2012 second-round pick (top 55 protected) (Amare Stoudemire trade 07-08-10)

Nuggets will receive the Knick's first-round pick two years after the Knicks surrender their 2012 first-round pick to the Rockets (Carmelo Anthony trade 02-22-11)

Nuggets have option to swap 2016 first-round picks with the Knicks (Carmelo Anthony trade 02-22-11)

By time Knicks legally can draft OR CARE to draft in NBA schemes of things MELO and AMARE $contracts will be up
they make their monies and will be gone!

sad

According to that info, we own first rounders in 2013 and 2015 and have second rounders every year except 2012.

Edit: And 2016 is a pick swap, so we really only gave up 2 first-rounds and a handful of extra second rounders for our first winning season in 10 years.

could be a nice find late in the draft..

Could be a nice backup C that can provide solid limited minutes from the get go. They must be confident Jordan can start or have a deal for a C in the works...

Really, everyone's crying over guys who, in all likelihood, will never play a meaningful NBA minute.

Fields was a 2nd rounder. There is always some kind of talent in the 2nd round, especially for a team lacking a bench...

Funny you would bring him up. I remember last year everyone getting all bent out of shape because we picked Fields but not Lance Stevenson. I think it's funny that the same basic thing is happening again this year; everyone is getting bent out of shape becuase we haven't taken random second round pick X.

I wouldn't call it random pick X. These 2nd rounders have names and talent that we could use.

They might have talent. The vast majority of these players will never play a meaningful NBA minute. For everyone to get bent out of shape, like last year with Lance Stevenson and Landry Fields, is a little ridiculous.

I guess he got some toughness..

I agree with you about wanting Selby to flip him.

Harrelson seems kinda Doleac-esque after watching him in the tourney. He's definitely a big body. I still am holding out the hope that Dalembert/Evans takes the MLE. Evans can with out a doubt play Center in my mind.... I know I know Mike D wouldn't play him yada yada yada.

Josh Harrelson???????

Jesus Christ.

Please leave, if you're serious.

Some of the stuff written is beyond belief.

Those are impressive stat lines. He's a burly guy with a lot of agility despite being so heavy. He has 15% body fat, so he can get in better shape, but he probably uses his girth to stay on the block and rebound. He's slow up and down the floor tho.

ill just say this.. when i saw him playing for kentucky, i didn't think the guy was overweight by an stretch.. im really surprised he was clocked in with 15% body fat, never woulda guessed that...

how do you figure doleac as a comparison, because they are both white? doleac was an excellent pick and roll shooter, harrelson will be lucky if he even touches the ball for a J at the foul-line...

i'm not trying to discredit harrelson by saying that either, i just think they are totally different players. harrelson will make his game downlow while doleac was a pure shooting bigman.

Come on, everyone knows that championships are won and lost in the second round.

The Harrellson era begins!

He was a force during the NCAA tournament. Hard worker, good on the low post. Let's see how that translates.

Hey, I remember that brief window of time in the Lenny era when Doleac & Steph were really clicking for us. So now we have another Georgia State Tech guard. If this guy can be as servicable as Doleac, I'll take it.

Of course, we'll probably won't be able to find out for quite some time as we are left to deal with our lives and our personal problems come the lockout.

Looks like some posters could use the time off for some group therapy work.

The Knicks Fix
Walsh was booed drafting Chuck Person and Reggie Miller for Indy. "And I'm going out with everyone booing me," he said with a chuckle.
