I was amazed to hear so many Cowboy fans at the Met-Life but the place erupted when the Jets got exciting.
Im not a huge football fan but that 4th quarter was a lot of fun to watch.
Rex sort of reminds me of the Big Tuna 20 years ago. Defense first.

Looks like the Jets may be going places. But its the Jets and they will find a way to not make the big dance.

I know what your saying, but two trips to conf. finals while under the "Underdog" guise is pretty impressive. The "Sanchise" is not quite prime time "Brady-Manning" like but who knows.
Rex just has an electric aura about him and his teams seem to rise. Not sure they are elite but they seem to play at or above their talent.
That itself is admirable.
I like "Dispicable me" Tom Coughlin and he does have a superbowl ring for all his negative ranting and raving but Rex seems to have his players that will run thru a wall for him where many coaches don't get that extra push.
I guess in time Im becoming a fan of the Jets. He was a hell of a hire!

If the Jets were to somehow make a move for Trent Richardson in this month's draft, there might be hope this season:

Quinton Coples instead of Melvin Ingram???
Hopefully he pans out, and isn't another Vernon Gholston or Dwayne Robertson. Otherwise FML...

The NFL draft is always tough to gauge. I like that the Jets have tried to address their true weakness--getting to the passer the last two years. We have no idea how good a player(I mean its a tough deal the NFL draft) will be but trying to arm the d line with big fast tall long armed players is the way to go.

Trying to generate a "natural" pass rush is key especially so we don't send so many exotic blitzes leading to open receivers. Just remember the NFL has turned into a Tight End league. I don't see anybody on the Jets roster covering Gronkowski or Hernandez yet. Hopefully they draft some linebackers in the other rounds.

Can we get this Stickied in the Off-Topic Forum like the Giants and Yankees Martin/Andrew?
Anyways, there's a new sheriff in town and his name is GENO!
ChuckBuck@ 10/8/2013 11:15 AM
So much for the so called experts. First, we're ranked 32nd or dead last in the preseason polls, now we have no shot against a 1-3(now 1-4) vulnerable Atlanta Falcons team:
Suck it bitches!

It's not too late to jump back on the wagon. With Geno, there's hope for the future!
