What's planking? The vid's blocked at work.
DurzoBlint @ 10/10/2011 12:05 PM
isn't' that the game where genius JR Smith came running down the court and, INSTEAD of calling a time out to check on his fallen captain, he leaps over him for a jump shot.
jrodmc @ 10/14/2011 2:19 PM
And it was an And One! If I'm seeing the vid correctly, he used Melo laying flat on the floor as a screen.

That JR Smith, he's an offensive genius. And he got a rebound AND gave himself a dime, too!

What was the point of this thread, again? To show how Melo could play World Cup soccer during the lockout?

Pretty sure you have to lay on your stomach with your arms to the sides.

Well, at least Melo wasn't teapotting.

Killa4luv @ 10/19/2011 10:38 AM
This is what I would show any GM who wants JR smith on their team. The guy is a moron. He couldve hurt his team captain.
CrushAlot @ 10/19/2011 11:14 AM
For a guy that needed three minutes to get off the court because he was 'hurt' Melo returned to that game. I don't think either guy comes out looking that good. There was a lot of speculation that Melo stayed down because he was so upset about the no call.
metra @ 10/21/2011 4:21 AM
Killa4Luv: dear god I hope that's sarcasm.
CrushAlot: Of course he was just being a diva

Yeah; Melo, who's supposed to be the team's leader, is acting like a diva when the team needs him and JR Smith ends up getting the criticism.

wow, you've never had the breath knocked out of your lungs. I have on the football and basketball court. It's debilitating but temporary. If it happened to you during a game and you DID NOT come
back I'd think you were the Diva.

Sometimes these guys get criticized no matter what they do. If this is a normal off season, I don't want to imagine these boards if the season gets canceled.

I find imagining anything about these boards would be a practice hazardous to one's mental health.
And that's from someone who's had multiple concussions.

How about when Glen Davis had a concussion but stumbled to try to get to his feet? I never saw Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, etc. diva plank like that.

I didn't see him get hit in the chest and I didn't see his noggin bouncing off the court. I also am echoing what was speculated at the time. Guys have thrown out their backs sneezing in baseball so anything is possible but I think it is hard not to speculate about what happened in that situation.
