If they don't trade him to LA they sure as hell won't trade him to NYC.
crzymdups @ 12/8/2011 9:46 PM

but if he doesn't get traded, does he stick it to the league by signing with the Knicks for the MLE??

...well...

no, but it's a nice thought.

i think it's mostly about the timing. chances the same deal goes thru at the trade deadline are pretty high, i'd think

Wojo saying several owners went to Stern and protested New Orleans trading Paul. New Orleans was getting a ton of assets in this deal. For a team choosing to rebuild they were setting themselves up nice. I think Stern's power has decreased after negotiations and the new deal. This was a good deal for the Hornets in my opinion.

i agree. i actually thought it made more sense for the hornets than the lakers, unless lakers were gonna get dwight, too.

Powerful point just made to me: if Stern did this yesterday, deal would not have been ratified by players today. Poisonous potential here.

It seems like it has to violate the cba. It was reported that Paul is going to look into taking legal action.
Nalod @ 12/8/2011 11:42 PM
Paul, get real. The deal was out there for an hour.

I do think it gets done. Lakes might have to do Bynum instead in my opinion.

No doubt this should have been back channeled and its awkward as hell.
