93BUICK live at the Village Vanguard in New York, from a few weeks ago-
NPR did a live broadcast of the set and you can listen here.

They also listed my CD #5 in their jazz list for 2011

Hope you enjoy it, and thanks for the Basketball chat that my phoney musician friends no longer indulge me in!

NPR... it figures...another commie pinko leftist tree hugging PETA hippie UK poster.

damn work won't let the audio come through....

good for you!

wanted to wait to listen to it before I commented. I don't know if this is a compliment or an admission of a personal problem, but I was cleaning up the apartment while listening, and then I started to drink. I didn't catch the word of the day though, what was it?

93BUICK @ 12/14/2011 2:09 PM
Pavonine! Thanks for checking it out!

I am, in my own modest little way. But I learned about "so killing" from the Jazz Robots.

3 years between responses, and I still can't listen to the audio! Prolly just as well.
My favorite song is by Dave Edmunds, so likely your sound isn't going to be doing anything for me.

Vegan. Figures. And you probably smoke two packs a day, too. Tobacco's a vegetable, right? Typical incoherent liberal.
Did your dad vote for Adlai Stevenson?

I know, my firewall kicked in and warned me of a socialist trojan horse! Congrats on your NPR performance and the Village Vanguard, as well Buick. Wish I had moved to the city and gone to hear you play.

Next gig please play a Helen Reddy song for Jrod, like the good old days.

It's why we have more Lombardi's than some other teams I know.

Maybe in the old days, but lately your success is due to Eli "life is like a box of chocolates" Manning and a clearly CGI'd helmet catch in the super bowl!

We'll see who has a better season Jrod. Bucs got the second best receiver in the draft and the tallest starting receiving corp in the league. McCown should find plenty of targets. Our defense is going to be scary this year, pretty sure of that.

But hey, don't worry, there is always Josh Freeman to save your season!

Don't hate. Eli is a stone cold killer. Killin it. We catch things on our helmets to make memories. Salsa as well. Continue to live with your envy. Without as many rings by the way, old (Phil lifts weights with his linemen) or new. (ELIte)

Nice try with Josh, but Eli's already ahead of schedule, thank you. Josh will be first string cup holder/clip board fetcher/back page fodder producer.
And we drafted ourselves a nice WR, too. And a late round 300 pounder that might work out nicely in our battered O-line.

Hopefully, we both make the playoffs this year!

Personally, I just think it's great we've hijacked Buick's snarky hip little leftist jazz thread!

This is the best Ive felt about the Bucs since Gruden was hired. Loved Dungy, but his offense was anemic. As for Buick, why does he hate America? Jazz was clearly not what the founding fathers intended. Should make music like this great American!

Ahh you know liberals, they hate Amuricah because they care so much...about themselves.

Benjamin Banneker wrote some amazing riffs trying to get Thomas Jefferson to see the light. It obviously didn't take.

You're spot on. Wasn't always the case. Today's liberal class are more neoliberal than anything else. Liberal on social issues, but on war, torture, the economy, austerity, the national security state, among other issues, they're more in synch with the right than they are with the left.

Wish I could remember the article but it quoted liberal politicians and talking heads during the last Bush administration on some of the issues I just cited, then and now and their views changed just as soon as their guy was in the White House. Unfortunately there isn't anything resembling a left wing in this country. As David Kay Johnston recently said "You can't have a center if there is no left". That's why I laugh when politicians call themselves "centrists" these days.
