Another article mentioned we may get a trade exception back. I think they are under the cap, so we should and that could be helpful...

Makes sense. No team would give him $ 4 mil as an FA. Unless we were taking back a comparably overpaid player (which we can't), we shouldn't expect anything in return and should be compensating the other team.
Ok, if we aren't getting a 2nd round pick for him, at least we are getting a trade exception, which right now could be extremely important to build strength at PG, SG or SF (Shawne Williams).
