Bibby/ Shumpert (Derek Rose, eat your heart out)
Fields/ Douglas
Carmelo/ Jeffries
Amar'e/ Harrelson (nice range homey)
Big Fella/ tbd

Shump will be the starting two within in a month. He's Spree.V2.

He isn't a point guard. seriously. he's not.

crzymdups @ 12/17/2011 2:46 PM
Man, I was a fan of drafting Marshon Brooks, but Shumpert looks so much more ready than Marshon.

why you say?

OK let's go easy on the rookies. Long way to go for Spreewell comparisons. Let him just be Shumpert
Knicksfan @ 12/17/2011 2:47 PM
SHUMP!!!!!!!!!!!!
matt @ 12/17/2011 2:47 PM
No dunk??
crzymdups @ 12/17/2011 2:47 PM
Shump accelerates!!! Spree-style.
BigDaddyG @ 12/17/2011 2:48 PM
I can't remeber the last time we drafted a player as athletic as Shump in the open floor.
ramtour420 @ 12/17/2011 2:48 PM
EEE-mon, Shumpert, sweet steal and i like how he decided to lay it up.
umynot @ 12/17/2011 2:48 PM
Shocked Iman didn't flush it down there. But even finger roll looked good

Kid is just nasty

Yeah and then he just goes and does that.

HARDCOREKNICKSFAN @ 12/17/2011 2:49 PM
Shump picked DWill cleam and scored the breakaway layup. The rook's looking good.

Let's keep the pressure on them, Knicks.

yeah, this is what have been saying. shump is spree-lite, i think. spree ran the point a little in GSW, but didn't really have the handle to run it full time.

Shump looks stronger. His ceiling may be higher too. Too early to tell, of course, just my view.

i love shumpert, but sprewell was a multiple all-star and made first team all nba one year. even comparing him to spree is a stretch at this point. i don't want to project his career or put any undo expectations on him.

but the frame, the explosiveness, the attitude, the strength, all kind of remind me of spree.

(and it's why i don't get anyone who calls him a PG.)

Spree coming in was not thought to be anything but a defensive undersized sf. Iman
Reminds me of spree for sure

Nets with better ball movemen so far
crzymdups @ 12/17/2011 2:53 PM
well, Shump certainly doesn't pass much. or ever.

d'antoni might have an issue with his shot selection.

if nothing else, he's that scoring punch off the bench.

ramtour420 @ 12/17/2011 2:53 PM

Are you watching? He's a prototypical NBA SG. He's 6'6" with long rangy arms and shoots the ball every time he touches it.
