He got almost double of what we would have gotten in New York...that was the only reason why.

knicks offered him 2yrs $5M. it was a million bucks. i mean, i understand taking a million dollars more... but you look at him in new jersey's system and realize that he doesn't really fit there whereas he was a perfect fit in NY.

staying in NY for 2yr $5M might have been the better career move in the long-term.
