Finally someone that understands what's at stake

I say we form our own board and ask luva to commish it for us. Epic!

Not for me. For me, it's much more than that.

You play negative basketball, you get negative talk.

It's that simple.

You think Thunder/Bulls/Lakers/Heat have this much negativity going on in their forums? Of course not, because they're team does more good than bad.

As for the Knicks, not the case.

It also gets frustrating when those of us in the doom and gloom group who have tried to get discussions going just get dismissed as having knee jerk or panic reactions, even though we are focused on the bigger picture of the past ten years to the present (not just 12 games). Anyone who uses these terms (I'm not singling out loweycue; there are others) is not genuinely or fairly representing the views of those on the dark side.

Yo! Dark Side,

How can anyone seeing the bigger picture of the last ten years focus all the gloom on MDA? Maybe you are just seeing what you want to see, and not seeing the bigger picture at all? Did that possibility ever occur to you? And for every well laid out post about MDAs shortcomings and there are plenty of those there's at leat two dozen rants and 3-6 garbage threads on average. So yeah it may not represent all of you but when most of you are just ranting the good ones get lumped in with the rest.

I am actually OK with replacing MDA but ONLY with a real coach with real credentials. So I object to the incessant rants of those who only spew negativity without proposing any alternative.

I'm not sure I understand your question at the beginning. I never focus on MDA. I've also said we need to do genuine rebuilding and described what that entails. I think you have me confused with someone else.

Probably, sometimes I am just responding to negativity. I really don't remember all the nuanced positions everyone has. I apologize if I offended you.
Heck I rant often enough so not suggesting I am better than anyone else. But it really is frustrating to see exact same discussions rehashed a hundred times. That's what may be driving people away from the board.

If the Knicks want to win a title here is what they need to do. Hire a coach. Anyone other then Antoni. Then find players that don't fit that coaches style. Then demand that the coach change his style to fit the players. Then every 6 months to a year take the roster, gut it and replace it with 9 new guys that don't match the coach's style. Then place an ultimatum on that coach. Then fire that coach and replace him with anyone but him. Then gut the roster and replace it with 9 new guys that don't fit that coaches style. Then demand that that coach change his style to fit the players. Then every 6 months to a year take the roster, gut it and replace it with 9 new guys that don't match the coach's style. It's a recipe for a title. Go Knicks!!!!! Get that stupid no good overrated coach. Our plan is full proof and the coaches are ruining it.

No problem. I actually agree with you on the rehashing.

New threads on old subjects is an old problem.

You know, nobody puts a gun to our heads and makes us read.

Sorry to not give props, but "negative ball will equate negative threads" does make sense.

TOday I watched most of the game but did fast forward at times. The games are not that interesting. I did enjoy the defense on Dwight today and liked Shumps hustle.

It is not surprising that this thread would lure back the anti-nixluva.

Sangfroid @ 1/16/2012 6:23 PM
As usual, winning cures all ills. As much as I admire Nix, I can't sit around and hope that my team gets better. It's on them. I will continue to support them and hope that the ship is righted. LET'S GO KNICKS!! See you when you're feeling better 'Luva!

I went to see the Islanders play the Red Wings last week - do you think they'll still be on Wong Island in a couple years or is Brooklyn getting Hockey too?
